Another IV today, and all is well…

Bradley had his second round of Stem Cells today and he did great again!  They had a little bit harder time getting this IV in his foot so Jason had to take him downstairs to the peds area of the hospital where they got the “oldest” nurse to put it in.  I’m sure they meant the Senior nurse and most experienced but whatever.  She got it in her first shot so we liked her!

Again we just sat on the couch as they ran the stem cells and flush through the IV and in my mind I’m thinking, we had to come half way across the world to do this?! Wow, at least we are getting the chance to do this for him, wherever it may be.  We do love China and have really begun to enjoy our time here.  If only they’d stop turning off the hot water! We actually had no water and some points today, who knows.

So, he’s doing great.  We’re here playing in the room and will soon put the boys to bed and let the stem cells do their thing!  We want results so badly but we must remember that they take time and we may not see anything improvements for a couple months to come.  But, I know they’ll come.  Good night and love to all.

this blog thing is so limiting and I’m sorry that we can’t figure out how to post all the pictures that we want to.  we’ll give it a break for tonight and hopefully i’ll be able to post IV photos tomorrow.

A Morning at Century Park

We spent the morning at a place called “Qingdao Century Park”.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  He feels a lot like central park in NYC.  Just full of trees and walkways and many activities throughout the park.  We walked around for a while and we all enjoyed the fresh air.  We probably saw 12-15 brides and their wedding parties there taking pictures so that seemed to distract some of the attention from us.  However, there were a few photographers that happened to move their camera in our direction and take a picture of our family.

Pic 1-  They seem to have added a lot of olympic theme statues and exhibit like things.  Here the boys are all posing in front of a huge wall that has pictures of most of the olympic events and some names.  Notice the flowers in the pots along the wall.  We’ve found this is very common throughout Qingdao.  For some reason they just leave the flowers in pots and display them without planting them.  Interesting.

Pic 2-  Bradley found a “walker” that works perfectly as we strolled through the park

Pic 3-  None other than THE Kung Fu Panda.

Pic 4- We thought this statue was really cool.  It has the 3 women in the colors gold, silver, and bronze standing in front of the olympic logo.  Notice that all 3 women are different looking and the chinese women is the gold one. ha, at least I thought it was funny
