One more week to go

June 9th, 2009

Hey all,

its been a wonderful weekend and we are excited to tell you all that we get to come home a little earlier than we planned. Yeah!! Bradley will still have all 6 treatments, its just that our last one was scheduled for next Wednesday and we didn’t leave until Saturday.  The doctors told us they’d change his last treatment  to Monday and we were able to change our flights to leave here on Tuesday. We are totally stoked and can’t wait to get home and be in our own house, with our own beds/rooms… and showers!

We had a wonderful weekend, we spent some time in downtown Qingdao at the shops, an aquarium (like Sea World) and were able to go to church again on Sunday.  This really is a beautiful place.  Even downtown is beautiful and reminds me of California in some places.  The coast is awesome and we have loved that we’ve had many opportunities to really experience Qingdao and see all the beautiful things here.

Bradley did great with his 4th IV.  We have two more to go. We have seen little progress and are very pleased with that.  Some of the friends we’ve met were here for their second round of stem cell treatments.  They had such miraculous results with their first round that they wanted to come back and do it all again.  We’ve met one quadrapalegic who gained function of his arms and hands, a boy who was hit by a car years back and lost all vision gained light perception and can see objects in front of him, outlines.  We also met a little girl who held her was eight months old and held her arm behind her.  She had very limited use of it.  We met her one week before she went home and we would never had guessed she had a “bad” arm.  She was using it just as good as the other and would play with toys and jingle bells with it.  Truly Amazing… we are witnessing this first hand and can’t deny that these stem cells can change lifes.

We are excited to see progress in Bradley over the next several months and hope that you all will continue to pray for his body to respond to these Stem Cells.  We are ready to come home, yet we have been so blessed to be able to be here and do this for Bradley.

Off to the Holiday Inn for dinner… yeah for quesadillas!!!

Could you please tell me how you got the information you needed to make your mind up to go there. My son has CVI due to an accident and this is the first time I have heard of this. I need to do some research and stuff and reading your story just gives me some hope.
