Good Morning world

June 14th, 2009

Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend. We have had a very nice day today before we start our busy week.  We went downtown with a couple of other families and enjoyed the sites. First we went to the beach area and walked out the Pier that is about 1200 feet long that had a bunch of street venders on it, and yes I got some good deals. After that we went to a nice Italian restaurant called the Napoli (very good food) for Italian food in China. We then went to the Polar Ocean World which is like a Sea World in our country and that was awesome. Kyle will have two injections this week Monday and Friday so we won’t get out again until next Saturday. I am so excited for this next week just to watch him. Yesterday when he had therapy Tom his therapist noticed his left wrist is now straight, how exciting is that. I will keep you all updated and posted on all of our progress this week. Please keep us in your prayers and keep writing.

Love Penny, Andrew, and Kyle

SO FUNNY! Just found out I went to school with Paige’s dad. Know her mom and dad really well. Well, it’s been awhile but super people! Now I know why she is such a great kid. Small world.

Hello Knopes family, It only took me ten minutes to get on this site at home. My computer must be slower than the schools which is hard to believe. Sounds like everything is going well. Does Andrew know how to type? I would like to see him type about his adventures. Tell Kyle to keep being tough like me. Have a good week!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Kyle
I don’t see my last message I sent on your blog so I don’t know if you received it. You got all A’s on your report card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard to believe since you had senioritis the last couple months, even though you were only a sophomore. All the nagging I did to get you to do your work must have paid off. Good Job!!!! Sounds like you are able to get out a lot and check out the scenery. What kind of bargains are you finding? Give me a call sometime when you have time. Would love to talk to you again. Keep up the hard work.

    Hi guys,
Brandon loved the pier. He wanted to stay and fly kites all day. He also wanted to play on the beach. We had a heck of a time getting him to the beach though, but luckily, a very nice young man helped us out and we were able to get him to the water. I’m so glad to hear how well it’s going for you. It’s amazing when all the hopes you had before you went begin to come true. Words can never describe your feelings. We think about you everyday. Take care.

    Hello Kyle, (and all),
Many are keeping you, Andrew and your mom in prayers. What a process that you are going through! Wow, is about all I can say when I read the blogs.
What number are you on, in taking those “China pictures”? I do hope that you’ll be ready to write an article about your experiences in China. Not only about your hospital experiences and those who work there, but about the extended friends that you make from other countries. Are they there for the same reasons?
It is Sunday night here in Janesville. A beautiful day, almost 80 degrees. At least the weather here is improving.
Waiting to hear more! God Bless all of you.
    Mrs. Debbie Bundy

Hi guys! Trying to catch up with the blog. I’ve been working 2nd shift, so I haven’t had much free time. Tonight’s my night off. I have been touring the hospital, working in a few different units. I like the ER best so far (except for OB, but I can’t work up there). The girls and I saw Dan today. The internet I am paying for is horrible. We are hoping they get it all hard wired soon so Dan doesn’t have to sit in a chair outside to talk to us as sweat runs down his body. The sun was down, but with 140F during the day, it can’t be very cool at 9:30 pm. As crappy as the reception was and the fact we had to mess with Skype for 20 minutes (on his end) before we had a real conversation, it was nice to see him. He received my box today and some Girl Scout cookies last week from a friend of ours whose Brownie troop sent boxes to soldiers they know. It took less than 6 days to get to him. We were both impressed. He didn’t really have time for the snacks yet, but he was ecstatic over the couple of tools I sent him. Well, that’s my excitement for now. Take care and continue to have fun when you can. Andrew, can you teach us some of your Kung Fu moves when you get back? LOL
Love Ya! Jeni, Katrina, & Izzy

Hello knopes, If your arms are going to get as big as mine, Andrew may want to get a couple of injections. Stay strong as you get closer to the end of the treatments. Make the most of them. Mullen
