Change of Plans

June 17th, 2009

It’s Kyle and today wasn’t the greatest day.  Acu-puncture was a disaster and I never want to do it again, but I know that it may be part of all my success so far.  It started when Tom, my therapist, put the needle to far into my right arm.  Eventually he had to remove it because the pain was to much.  Then, when my mom was talking to one of the other families, she decided to move my leg with four needles in it without even thinking about it.  After our morning was over, we had nothing to do.  Then my mom asked Tom for a massage, which she said was awesome.  Next, when we were eating diner, one of the student doctors came in and told us that I will be having my fourth injection tomorrow rather than Friday because they are getting the stem cells from another city.  Just geting ready for bed now.  Good morning!

Good morning, well here anyway. We were so disappointed we missed your call!! I was sleeping. Had to Justyn a Starbucks, Thanks! Remember we talked about that acupuncture? It can be very painful. Im sorry you had to go through that. Paige and Matt stopped over yesterday too. Wanted us to go to a movie with them, but Justyn had a game and they came to that afterwards. They’re on a winning streak and he’s making play after play, doing awesome. We’re gonna get together Paige before she leaves.

    Kyle and all,
that is too bad about the acupuncture; I had it done before and if I tried to move my leg or foot with the needles in it I did get a sudden reminder not to do that!
Anyway I hope it gets better after the next injection!

Hey guys! It was so great to get a call from you the other day! I’m just amazed at all you can do already! Just goes to show that miracles do happen!!! Joel and I are thinking about you everyday and my family is so excited for you! We are all hoping and praying that this awesome-ness continues!

Camp was good, no real pranks though. I had to plunge the toilet, again, this year. It’s becoming a ritual.
I should be able to close next week on my house, no date for sure. Joel is beyond excited! Looking forward to my hammock with cabana boy from your dad! :)

    Love you guys!

    Penny, Kyle, and Andrew,

Hope you all are surviving OK. I had acupuncture a couple of times. Kind of freaky! I had it the two times that I had shingles (not a lot of fun, but made acupuncture seem tolerable). One of the needles was placed in the back of my head; but at least I couldn’t see that one! You are really being a trooper! I suppose it helps that you really strongly wanted to do this and so you have to try to embrace every kind of therapy that they think will help. Penny, three weeks down! Dr. Eccles is being a trooper! You know how it is, never know who will be working for her on any given day. Mary’s birthday tomorrow; so chocolate cake! Think of you often (every time I have to fumble to schedule an epidural!) Can’t wait to hear more exciting news!

HI Kyle, Andrew & Penny, sorry to hear you had a bad day. I guess this is going to happen, we hope that they are far and few between. We miss you all and cannot wait until you get home. Andrew are you taking care of your MOM? Rachel is finally rolling over, but she still hates being on her stomach. She has realized that she has a voice, I think she screams just to hear herself. Well it’s time for bed, hope you all have a good day.
Love all of you Tammy & Tom
