Good Nights Sleep
June 26th, 2009
Last night we had the best sleep we have had since June 1st. We spent the night at the Holiday Inn and got to sleep until 9:30am because we had dark curtains rather than yellow. Andrew and I went to the buffet and had a great breakfast before heading back to the hospital for the rest of the day. As soon as we entered the hospital we saw the new family from Texas and they asked me to go and get a coffee across the street, and you all know I said YES!!!! Now we are going to take a nap then hang out in the lobby tonight. Talk to you soon.

Kyle, I gotta say that I am just as excited to read about your progress as am hearing and reading about the families you have met. To have the chance to meet these people is wonderful, you will cherish the “family” feeling you have with them for the rest of your life! Brewers lost last night.

Hi Knopes- I am so happy about the wrist movement! Does that mean we will have to have a stick diving competition in the pool? I hope so, I really miss the times we have in the summer, but it sounds like it will all be worth it in the long run. My right knee is acting up now so I will be seeing the Dr. for some injections of some kind. I can’t wait to see you all. Take care Love Shirley

Great news Kyle! Keep up the good work. I’m so glad you guys finally got a good night sleep. I bet it was like heaven in that hotel room. So you have 2 or 3 more injections before you come home???? It is getting closer. Cant’ wait to see you guys. Penny I lost that e-mail you gave me so I will be calling Steve for it. Keep the good news coming. Our prayers are with you……….. Lisa

Great news thanks for the update! FYI – Jamie and Brandon had their baby last night, 12:31am 6/27/09. Taylor Christine, 8lb.4oz. All are well. She’ll probably make her family debut when we celebrate your return. Keep workin’ hard. I printed a pic of you for the nursing home ladies who I have praying for you. They clapped and cried with joy to hear about your progress. You would have gotten you checks pinched – they think you are so cute with a beautiful smile. – love Rick
