Hello all, we continue to hear of your bad weather and storms…hope it has settled down and no harm has come to anyone. I saw the footage on CNN of the IAMS pet food company-wow!  It looked scarey! Our day has been overcast but no rain.  Nate felt great this morning and had acupuncture and PT, then after lunch he had a bad back ache.  It was weird, he laid down and fell asleep…all day.  Now he is up and feeling fine again.  He must have needed the sleep.  I have almost finished my book, it was a very boring for me today.  Doug, Megan and Katy are in San Diego for my sister’s son’s wedding.  Ryan Lehl and Stacey Strysak are getting married tomorrow :)   Stacey was a news anchor in Kearney at ntv a few years ago, you might remember her.  Nate and I are sorry we aren’t there and looking forward to the pictures!  I bought a bottle of red wine from the supermarket, it is called ‘Great Wall’ and it was 25 yuan or about $3.68 – quality.  Anyway, I have opened that and am having a glass in my hello kitty coffee cup!  ha ha  At least it’s not morning, right?  Hopefully tomorrow will be more eventful.  We are going to watch the ‘Truman Show’ so good night from China, have a good day!  Love, Nan & Nate

    Hello
So sorry you had to miss out on the family wedding. We ate at El Toro last night on the patio and thought of you because we know you like it. There might have been a little tornado 1/2 block south of us. Two trees at Heuermanns, 3 in the median and 2 at Morledges were leveled. Wierd. Then the path went across the golf course a little. That was before it hit in the Aurora area. How is there wine there?
    Take care.

Hey Nate – your cousin Scott here. Had dinner with your sis’ and Dad last night and it was fun. Wish you guys could be here but we had a good time and Rachael was glad to meet Katy and Megan (I realized it has been a long time since I have seen them so it was good to catch up).

Hope the ass meat is treating you well :) .

Here’s to Ryan & Stacey! Go, Nan, in your Hello Kitty cup. That’s too cute. I look forward to sharing some good wine with you again, maybe in WP, GI or on our deck.
Speaking of the deck, our plan has changed on the painting completion date but we made lots of progress yesterday. Bob painted from 7:30 AM until 8:30 PM with a 2 hour lunch /siesta time. I was right there with him and we established a pretty good system. He gets the first coat on (good enough, you know Bob) and then I’m coming along fixing it up and doing the detail work. That takes time! Unfortunately, he had to go back to work today, there goes our system! Next together paint day could be Mon. So, I ‘ve decided that painting will be my part time (should be full time) job for the rest of June/ July. Boy, were we tired and sore, even when we got up this morning, but it felt kind of good.
Enjoy those naps, Nate, and glad you woke up feeling better.
You are a trooper and we are so proud of you.
    Love,
    Nancy & Bob

    Hi Guys,
Just a few notes. No rain tonight. We had at least 2 inches last night and a lot of hail. Thought the roof was coming down. Missed Wed. but it made up for it lastr night. Didn’t look like anyone had damage out here so that is good. When did you say Doug and girls were gone? I see there is someone over there when I go to work so maybe they are back.
I really love to read about all the things you are doing there. It is really interesting.
Hope Nate is doing better and glad it is almost over. I really feel for you Nate because I have had the headaches and no one knows how bad it hurts. I’m really proud of you the way you take it in stride. You have turned into a great young man. Getting to see all you have in your life is such a great thing too.

The two of you remember we are back here waiting for you and missing you. All our prayers for you both.
    Keep writing.
    Donna

    Nate & Nan,

Wine in a Hello Kitty cup works for me! I, too, will drink a cheer to Ryan and Stacey. It seems like yesterday when Brad & Scott lit the candles at your wedding and Ryan was the cutest ring bearer. Where does the time go?

When we were in China, we found that we really enjoyed the beer. In fact, I still remember how refreshing the beer was after we climbed the Great Wall. We never didi try the wine, so I can’t recommend anything to you in that category.

Sleep can be nature’s greated healer. I’m glad Nate was able to relax and get the sleep he needs. I hope you enjoy your trip to the countryside this weekend. China has some unbelievable temples. They are filled with beauty and peace, so just enjoy.

    Love, Donna & Dan

Hope you are doing well……hope it is a headache free day! No storms last evening…It’s really early; the kids have a swim meet in Lincoln so we are leaving at 5:30…

We are anxious to have Doug and Megan over Monday.

    God’s Blessings.

    Dear Nate and Nan,
Thanks for all of your daily sharing. Nanette, you are an excellent writer! You are both so very brave! The language barrier itself is a huge challenge. The food variences probably keep you some what hungry for your favorite tastes. Anyway we want you to know that we have not forgotten you and that there are daily prayers coming from a lot of people. We admire your great strength and courage and pray you will stay strong for the rest of the treatments and all of the “new experiences” yet to come .
    Lovingly,
    Carolyn and Del

    Nate and Nanette,
I have enjoyed reading about your adventures and experiences. It amazes me how people find ways to communicate even without language and how much we all have in common. We certainly take a lot for granted here at home, don’t we? I will continue to keep you in my prayers – Laurel
