Dear blogger,

We are a group of medical students at Imperial College undergoing a research project into Stem Cell Tourism, whereby patients seek stem cell therapy abroad. We have noted that you have either undergone this treatment yourself, or have expressed interest in it, by way of your blog.

We would like to gather the opinions of patients on stem cell therapy abroad, and whether sufficient information exists for patients who may also wish to consider it. We were wondering whether you would be so kind as to fill in the questionnaire below. We would also appreciate if you could forward the link onto any contact you may have who have had a similar experience. It shouldn’t take very long and will greatly help us.

If you have any problems filling in the questionnaire please let us know by emailing us at: aa16009@ic.ac.uk

Questionnaire link:

Thank you.

New Support Group Web Site for Traumatic Brain Injury Survivors.

GiveBack, Inc. is a recovery group for traumatic brain injury (TBI). Its purpose is not to help survivors to accept new lives that offer them limited options, but rather to help TBI survivors to deal with their deficits, improve their functioning, become active, and regain self-control of their lives. Survivors are to be respected and honored for having survived, but Traumatic Brain Injury survivors go on to realize their untapped potential to live productive lives again.

The GiveBack approach to recovery is energized and empowered by support, inspiration and faith, but it is guided by recovery facts and by neuroscience. Support and inspiration, like time, medication, therapies, counseling and education, have not proven to be the essential ingredients in great recoveries for the majority of survivors.

Hello Blazevics!

We have been very busy since our return from China, so I am just now getting around to seeing if you updated us on Adrian. I can see that you must be very busy as well (laughing). I did read that you are planning yet another round of stem cell treatments for Adrian ... that's great! You are truly a remarkable family and I feel very blessed to have had the pleasure of meeting you while in China ... even though it was ever so briefly.

Shawna is doing quite well since having received the stem cell treatments. She seems to be responding consistently to our verbal commands. Her eyes definitely look much better (in alignment) ever since having the stem cell treatments.

Anyway, please keep us posted; can't wait to hear if more stem cell treatments further helps Adrian. You all are always in my prayers.

God Bless,

Lorraine Weil

Looking up treatments on the net for acquired brain injury I read with great interest about Adrian. My son James suffered a very severe brain injury in 2006 and his condition sounds very similar to that of Adrian's. I am very interested in the stem cell therapy and would like to know more about your experiences. I would appreciate it if you have the time to contact me.
