Oh dear…

November 26th, 2009

Not been a great 24 hours here. Amys temperature continues to persist along with sneezing, coughing and sickness. She had a turbulent night and today is flaked out on the bed. Chris is unwell too. Both lacking sleep, you can imagine its great fun for all :-(

On top of that, i’m fed up with the battle to get into the kitchen and the only appliance that was worth using has been removed and not replaced as the electricity keeps cutting out. Now i’m not a great cook at home, but here it is just complete hassle.

It feels like i’m constantly moaning…(yeah, ok i know i’m good at it!) but if its not the kitchen its the inconsistency of the nurses, the dust and cleaning or the little boy who thinks this is a playground and is bloody noisy. Oh, and our toilet almost overflowed this morning for a 2nd time, this time after it had been used (too much info, right!) Yuk!

But worst of all, we’ve seen no change in Amy yet… after 4 lots of stemcells. I know we have to be patient and that it could take anything upto 9 months but its the waiting, the wishing and the wanting… my patience is shot sky high with it all.

Is it really another 17 days to go? I’m feeling quite depressed with it all today. We wish we was at home. Its not forever but it sure does feel like it.

Oh well, you guys are getting ready for the day and we’re halfway through ours…another day to tick off (thank goodness).

Sorry to off load on here, but it helps to get it out rather than keep it in. For those on their way, please don’t fret. Not all experiences are the same…just bring anti-bacterial wipes ok!!!

Bye for now peeps, Lots of Love from Us to You xXx

Ps. Hope your all okay by the way??? Thinking of you all, as always xXx

I can’t believe how they are with cleanliness, not like here. Have you got enuf anti bac wipes hun! Just didn’t expect it to be like that in a hospital.
Don’t forget we all hope we will see some changes for the better with Amy, and it may take time, but even if we don’t, you had to do this journey for Amy in the hope that it will benefit her. You couldn’t not do it. We are all with you hun.
I hope tomorrow you will all feel better, and we all look forward to seeing you soon…and going out for lunch! Love you babe xxx

hiya sug. sounds like youve had a rollercoaster couple of days! im not surprised you’re all feeling a bit crap! its been a very emotionally draining trip so of course it will catch up with all of you.
do you think amy accepting the treatment less stressfully could possibly be a result of the stem cell treatment? maybe lots of little things will change, and not necessarily big changes.
but thank heavens for peppa tho eh!
hope you all feel much better soon. not long now until your home. miss you all. lots of love x x x x

    Hey Mel :)
Too right…peppa n bob are life savers! there’s nothing else for Amy to do here. No baths or trampoline:( and going out is a chore in itself. Also people stare like crazy. I just shake my butt at them now! lol.
As to being calmer with the treatment, this is less stressful down to her not being pumped full of sedatives, the jab in her butt, up her butt n so on! and it used to go on for 2-3 hrs. Now its around 40mins mins. Wish i could say there had been some improvements, even lil ones, but there’s been none so far. She’s still a stroppy madam who won’t socialise n tries to beat up the nurses n doctors whenever they say hello! the only one she’s nice to is Jasmine who gives her accupressure.
Still 4 more to go and it’ll take anything upto a year to see max benefits so we’ll wait n see.
Hope your gang are all well? Miss ya like mad hunni. Be good <3 Love me xxx
