“Normal” day today: accupuncture, PT, electrocution. I was tired today. Really starting to miss home and just being ‘active’. Tomorrow is my ‘final spinal’ treatment. My ‘new’ brain should be complete around the first of the year. In the meantime, I can/will be training my multiplying brain cells coordination, balance, and of course walking exercises. The nurse just came in and told me my spinal is at 2:00 tomorrow, that means I can get out of bed around 8:15 p.m. BRING IT ON!
Can’t knock me down

Hi BJ,
Alicia here (Cindy’s wonderful co-worker
) again.
Well, only one more treatment to go, or in Red Sox terms its the final stretch. You have the bases loaded, Josh Beckett is on the mound (an easy homerun judging by his last performance – Boo, oh come on we all know his last outing wasn’t his best), now all you have to do is hit the ball.
BJ steps up to the plate, she’s looking fierce today. Here’s the pitch… She swings… The crowd goes wild! It’s outta the park! Game over! Game over! It’s pure pandemonium. Papplebon is dancing, corks are flying, Ortiz is flashing his big grin… BJ has done it!!! She has won the World Series – in China of course!
Hope this makes you smile. Maybe inspire a fun dream during your treatment. Or at least give you something to talk about (that Alicia must be a little off) while you have to lay flat.
Have a good day!!!!!

Hi BJ and Mom
OK, so I was wondering if you could steal some cells for me. I too (for different) reasons, need a new brain. The one I have is getting old and tired.
I’m starting to get anxious with the excitement just thinking about the homecoming. I really miss my Mom. I hope once Morgan and Collin get their “Mommy fix” we can have the opportunity to chat with you. We’ll get together once Jason returns from Saudi Arabia. I’m sure he stories to tell as well.
Take care and rest up when you can. It won’t be long before you start that long treck home.
Love to you both.
Cindy

Hi. Just thinking about you and what you must be thinking right now. Last one. Then the long trip home. You are truly an inspiration. Not just to me and everyone else who’s life you have touched, but for your children. What an example of strength you are, not letting anything keep you down, especially MJD. You don’t give up, you research, and research, and do your homework for the next best treatment, who knows where this will lead. It can only get better from here. Are ther any butterflies over in China? Everytime Angelina sees a butterfly, she sees Auntie Claire. If you see a butterfly over there, tell her Angelina says HI!! and know that your Mom is watching over you!!
I Love you!!!

Hi Sweetheart,
The kids & I just wanted to say hi and tell you how proud we are of you. We miss you! There’s an empty feeling without you home. We know you will be home in a few days so it makes it a little easier. One more treatment left. We know it is working and you will be walking without your walker soon! We ordered our costumes for Halloween, but I told Morgan & Collin they don’t need to wear their masks because they are already scary with the ones they permanently have. Well gook luck with you last treatment. We love you, miss you, and can’t wait for the big hugs and kisses at the airport Tuesday. Oh, by the way, you are so, so right… YOU CAN”T BE KNOCKED DOWN!
Love, so very much
Shawn, Morgan & Collin
PS. You have taught our kids the biggest lessons of life. Never give up, always be possitive, and make the best out of each situation you’re faced with. I’ve always said, you lead by example. Well, you’ve done just that!
