day 28
September 1st, 2009
Braden had therapy this morning and this afternoon, he has a spinal injection tomorrow. We just hung out, played some cards, watched a movie and visited with other families. At therapy this afternoon we seen a man who had been in a bad accident and smashed the vertebra’s in is neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. Today I watched him stand straight up with no assistance and take about 5 steps holding on to a bar. The whole room just stopped and watched. Wendy one of the translators whispered to Braden “that will be you someday” , he was really excited. I’m not sure how many times he has had treatment, I think 3. I have been here almost 4 weeks and have witnessed miracles. I have seen blind kids playing on the floor and reaching for toys. People who think stem cells are nonsense need to be better educated. The U.S.A. is so far behind, it’s a shame.

Braden,
It sounds like you continue to make progress. I am so proud of you and can’t wait for you to come back and show off for the class.
We got a new student today, another boy, his name is Isaias. That means that once again there are more boys than girls in our class. Your class can’t wait to see you. I keep showing them pictures of you in China, they are very excited for you to return to school. Keep up the good work.

Hi Braden and Aaron Hope everything goes well with your treatment tomarrow. It sounds like everything is going really well for you in China. I’ve known for awhile Braden is a very hard worker. You and your Dad are real troopers. Jaxon wanted me to ask if you ever found out what kind of animal that was at the festival? (the one that wasn’t a dog?) Take care and God bless. Tracy and Jaxon

Hi Aaron and Braden,
I know for sure Braden will walk and be able to play like other kids some day. It might take a few more stem cell treatments but all that matters is that its going to work. Leena says to say hi to Braden and that she misses him. There is still alot of days left for you guys and I know its hard being in China but what your doing as a dad is amazing. Can’t wait to hear good news about Braden and wish him the best!!

Hi Braden,
Wow you are doing awesome. Keep up the hard work. Joey has also started rolling. He rolls from his back to his side now. He misses you lots. I play the video I have of the both of you and he loves hearing you talk to him. Try and not let daddy drive you crazy. Be patient with him. ha ha ha
We are suffering from major jet lag right now, however it feels good to be home.
We miss you guys. I’m sending my prayers your way for continued success and a quick, healthy and fun rest of your trip.
Talk to you guys later.
