Today was Orlando’s birthday and everyone got together and we had a big party. Two translators and several other women cooked food and we had a giant fiest. Seirra insisted that Braden and her were having their second date. No place else could so many people from different back grounds get together and share their experiences and get along so well. We have got to meet people from all over the world, this truly has been a wonderful experience. Braden has a spinal tomorrow and one on Friday. He has therapy six days this week so he will be very busy.

Today Braden had no therapy or treatments. We did plan on going swimming and when we got to the pool it was packed. Braden didn’t want to get in, but I think he just felt sorry for me cause I can’t sport a speedo and fit in with the rest of the Chinese. We met another family and thier from Florida, Sierra Factor. She is an eight year old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We hung out with them and Braden went on a date. Right away she thinks Braden is her boy friend. We had a nice supper and as you can see Braden and Sierra shared dessert.

Braden had therapy this morning and did very well. They had a camera crew from the hospital and filmed Braden. Braden was able to roll on to his right side. They got it on video so hopefully they put it on thier web site. Baden’s body is getting more relaxed all the time. The doctor calls Braden superman. Well we have the whole weekend off and we’re going swimming and just relax.

It’s hard to believe that we have been here 29 days already, only 15 left to go before we get back home. Bradens spinal went really well and only had a slight fever. I couldn’t get him to go to sleep or relax afterward. he did finally fall asleep around midnight but all went very well.

Braden had therapy this morning and this afternoon, he has a spinal injection tomorrow. We just hung out, played some cards, watched a movie and visited with other families. At therapy this afternoon we seen a man who had been in a bad accident and smashed the vertebra’s in is neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. Today I watched him stand straight up with no assistance and take about 5 steps holding on to a bar. The whole room just stopped and watched. Wendy one of the translators whispered to Braden “that will be you someday” , he was really excited. I’m not sure how many times he has had treatment, I think 3. I have been here almost 4 weeks and have witnessed miracles. I have seen blind kids playing on the floor and reaching for toys. People who think stem cells are nonsense need to be better educated. The U.S.A. is so far behind, it’s a shame.

Braden had therapy this morning and the doctor was making his rounds, Braden rolled over 5 times on command front to back and back to front to the left. It took him about 40 seconds per roll but he has never done that before. The Doctor said Braden was a very rare acception to the rule and the stem cells were taking very well to Braden. He was very impressed and said that Braden is having better results than most other patients he has seen. They say champions are born and not made, I believe that. Braden has more heart than anybody I have ever met. He never quits, never cries, and never backs down. I could only wish of having half of his heart someday. I see alot of other kids here, and I am so proud to be Bradens father, i feel very lucky, he is so stong willed, Other kids don’t want to even be here, and Braden, well, he thinks he is super man. Its funny cause he thinks because he is getting medecine for his brain he should be able to do anything. It is kind of comical because it’s like watching super man on crytponite, he tries so hard but can’t yet do it. He did start getting limited use of his right hand 2 days ago, I think he will be a left hander but he is opening and closing his right hand on command. I get so many comments on Braden and people can’t believe how well he has improved since we’ve been here. Today was amazing just to watch my son roll over for the first time on command. My family and I want to thank everybody for making this possibe. He still has 17 days left and the doctor said he should continue improvement for the next 6 months at this pace. I can’t wait to see what will happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Braden really had a rough week, he had two spinal injections and had a bad fever so we thought we would go out and have some fun. We had every intention to go to the zoo but Bradens friend Nathen couldn’t go cause he was sick. Now we knew the International Beer Festival was going on, now what kind of Frohman’s would we be if we didn’t go! Nathens father, Braden and myself head down there. The best way to describe it was like a state fair, they had rides, music and food, and beer from about every nation. Here is where the western culture meets east, the Chinese have perfected meat on a stick. A little list of what I saw, Beatles, scorpions, sea horses, squid, what looked like 2 week old dead fish, and several items I have no idea what they were. We hung out there most of they day and Braden got to ride several rides, he liked the big swinging boat the best, but I did let him drive a bumper boat. I really wanted to try some of the food there but Braden insisted on KFC. Bradend did a really good job today, he actually walked most of the day, my arms hurt, but he loved it. I hope someone can tell me what this pictue is, and no it wasn’t a dog.

Braden had a fever last night of 103, they got it under control rather quick. they gave him tylenol and his fever was reduced by around midnight. Bradens back wasn’t sore but he was tired from a long night so we didn’t go to therapy today. We just hung out and relaxed and played games, it was raining all day. We went out for supper with about 13 other people to celabrate joesph leaving tomorrow. Braden is very sad that he is leaving and wished it was him. He is very ready to go home. We have plans tomorrow to go to the zoo with nathen and his family hopefully it isn’t raining.

Bradens injection went well today. He is sleeping and it’s 7:30 pm here. I’m sure he will be awake most of the night again and I don’t think he will do therapy in the morning but he does have therapy in the afternoon so I guess we will have to see how he is feeling. We didn’t do much today, he had therapy in the morning and he was scheduled for his injection at 1:30 but everything got backed up and he didn’t get his until around 4:00 pm. He wasn’t very happy cause he can’t eat or drink for 3 hours before so his last drink was at 10:00. Lets hope the night goes well. And to all my family and friends who are farmers here is a picture of a tractor, these things are all over. Imagine if this was your only tractor.
