A Rough Trip!!

June 30th, 2008

Well they are finally at the hospital and it was a rough trip to say the least!!  They had a delay from New Jersey to Beijing and them another delay from Beijing to Qingdao.  This messed everything up so they didn’t arrive in Qingdao until 11:40 at night China time.  Which left them with no one to pick them up at the airport.  I am not sure what exactly happened…why there was no one to pick them up but it made for chaos!!  Todd said no one spoke English or knew where the hospital was.  He said he took a shot in the dark and took a taxi to a hospital.  Then it took him 30 minutes to find out if it was the right one.  It ended up being the right one and they took him to a room.  I was able to talk to him via skype on the computer which also shows video.  He and Bradley look anxious and out of sorts.  Please pray for them!!!

    Hi Todd and Bradley,
sorry you had a rough time so far, that is the exact same things that happened to Zac, Melissa and Cameron las August when they flew to Hangzhou, China. But once they got settled into their hospital room everything chanced for the better. The care Cameron received was great and of course the USC treatments speak for themselves as now my grandson is watching cartoons!
God will have his hand on Bradley, He will SEE!
    God Bless!

    Todd and Bradley,
Sorry for the rough trip, but glad and thankful y’all are there safe. (I may have messed this up – not typing the word in where I was supposed to in order to write this message – I’m OLD – what can I say!)
Will be checking daily and praying for the Lord’s will for Bradley.
    Take care.
    Love,
    Judy

Hello! My name is Jessica. My son, Cody, has ONH and we just left Qingdao one week ago. I am so glad that you guys made it! You will love the staff, and all the families that are there! Everyone is so helpful! Cody is having great success with the stemcells! He now has all his colors, and is getting around great! He turned 3 yesterday…and he is just a whole new kid! I wish you the best of luck, and welcome to Qingdao! You have to take a taxi to the city when you get a chance. Go to Ocean World, and the coast. And hit up a place called “G-mo Mart” for the best gifts to take back home. (ask Jack or Wendy to write it down for you). :) Look forward to reading your updates! :)

Welcome to Qingdao! Once you get settled in, things will calm down. We just left Qingdao a week ago, and my son Cody has had great progress with his vision. You will love everyone there! Check out the magazine in the meeting area, there is a nice map for tourists. Ask Jack, Amanada, or Wendy to help you to get around. They are great Best of luck!
