One Down and Six to Go!!!!!!!
July 2nd, 2008
Well, Bradley is in the shower after his First successful Stem Cell Treatment. He has not had any Headaches or backaches that are common with the treatments. Scratch that, he just got out of the shower and said that he had a mild headache, but thinks it is because he was straining to watch the TV.
The Procedure was very fast. He didnt experience any pain associated with the Lumbar Punctor and was done in 10 minutes. I was really surprised because I thought that it was going to drip in to him but they drew some fluid out and then put the stem cells in with a suringe. He hated waiting on his back for six hours straight but it really wasnt that bad. He had to Pee real bad but he got over that hurdle. All in all it was a very successful first procedure, at least I think.
Well it is time to decide on Cat or Dog, I mean chicken or Beef. LOL!!!! I am only kidding, the food has been pretty good. I ate some kind of tomato broth with noodles and vegitables. Bradley is still stuck on KFC, but he is warming up to the idea of trying more foods.
Gotta Go, but I just wanted to PRAISE GOD for how everything is turning out. He is in control, and I am Humbled very day by his Grace and awesome works. I believe God Has got a Big Plan for Bradley, not sure what, but I know he does.
ni hao, (good night)Todd and Brad

I am so thankful for the procedure being relatively painless for Bradley and over & done for the 1st. Now he will know what to expect – the unexpected is always the worst.
God is definitely working here!!
Jerry says the “dog” isn’t bad – HA!!!
Love ya’,

Hi Todd and Brad,
Thanks for writing your blog! It’s great to read it and see how you’re doing. (We’re leaving for China in August with our baby Eleanor)
Your faith in God is truly inspiring to me and it helps keep me praising God even when times are tiring. I am praying for you whenever I think of you.
Keep up your good spirits!
Sincerely,
Liz Habecker (Philip and Eleanor)

YAY!!! Sounds like a sucessful and fairly easy first treatment. Praise God for that! Brad I can’t believe that you were able to lay still on your back for 6 hours. I couldn’t do it! You da man! Trey has been bowling with Caleb on the Skype thing. At least I think that’s the way they were doing it. What do I know? LOL Poor Trey. Today Sarh and Elaina are here with Kami and I’m sure they’re driving him nuts. You’ll have to ask him about it.
BIG HUGS to both of you!
April and the crew
BTW Brad – Aldyn said that you’re her brother. She sure does love you!

Hey!! This is Shannon and Kristen. We just wanted to say hey, and we’re praying for you! Also, I work in a japanese restaurant and I recommend the cat. Just saying! lol, just kidding. You need to put the rap of the ten commandments on youtube so that we all can see it. It’s great to hear how you are doing! Call me on skype anytime, I just got a webcam and Kristen is going to get skype as well. Love ya! Kristen loves you too, but in a non-freaky way, because you’re kind of like her cousin too.
We’re praying for you,
Shannon and Kristen.

Wow, Bradley–6 hours of having to lie on your back! That’s crazy! Good thing your dad doesn’t have to sit still that long….he’d never make it!! LOL Glad that your first procedure went well. You’ve got lots of people that you don’t even know over here in Luray praying for you. Hang in there, buddy!
Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
With love from the Winums
