Procedure #2 plus extras

July 7th, 2008

Look out Jackie Chan!!!!!!!!!Adam and BradleyBuffet, 5 star styleIt Doesnt Hurt Amy, I promise. LOL!! Well, I messed up the Picture order but I am getting the hang of the blog so it will be better, I think. The 1st pix is of Bradley holding a Sword.  He saw this one when we were out looking for souveniers.  His POP POP gave him 100$ US dollars before he left which turns into about 700 RMB’s here.  Bradley is looking for one to hang on his wall and something that he can always remember the trip by.

The Second pix is Adam and Bradley outside of a 5 star Buffet that was excellent.  ( The 5 star buffet only cost us 8$ US dollars when it would have cost us 75$ in the US.) I wanted to thank Adam and Phil(Adams Dad) for putting Bradley at ease. They encouraged him when he was down and Bradley really liked Adam, He looked up to him. I thank God for Adam, He had a motorcross accident that put him into a wheelchair but Adam has the spirit of a Saint.  He has a very positive attitude when it could so easliy be negative. He has been the best influence for Bradley, let alone everyone else here.  I expect to stay intouch with him for the rest of our lives.  Thank You Adam for Being You.

The 3rd pix is of Bradley at the Buffet. It had everything, we are so excited that we found this buffet because it is close to the hospital and is the best food of the trip.  The Best thing about it is that it is really not expensive to our standards. Bradley said it was the 1st time this trip that he felt like he was full.

The last Pix is what we are here for.  Stem Cell Therapy. Bradley has been dreading it since the last treatment but not because it hurt him but because he couldnt stand to sit still for 6 hours. (he must have gotten that from the Daisey side of the family, LOL!!!)     So Bradley decided that he was going to stay up all night untill his procedure the next day. I really thought that was a great idea so I said, ” Good Luck with That”  and went to bed.  He called some friends but didnt get a hold of many. Then he watched TV or talked to AMY,Caleb, and Olivia back home using Skype.  When I woke up he was playing with the kids in the common area at 5am.  He made it all the way to his treatment at noon.  and Now he is sleeping like a baby.  No problems nor do I forsee any.  I will let you know on the next Blog.

Oh yeah, Bobby Umphlett had us in Church on Sunday morning using Skype… It was really cool.  They say you find out who your friends are when things are rough, All I can say is that I have got a Great Church Family, Excellent Close Friends, Outstanding Co-workers and the Best Family Anyone can Have, and YES that means TOMMY as well(MY Father in Law, LOL!!!!!!!)

Last but not least, we have a new member here at the hospital and her name is Macie.  She is 15 and has the same diagnose as Bradley,ONH. Both her and Braden have been great to Bradley, Please keep them in your prayers as well with everyone esle here.  Thank you, We Love You, Bradley and Todd

I woke up this morning at 6 am and checked your blogs first thing after I got a cup of coffee. Then I called Aunt Dot as she had instructed me the day before to read them to her a little after 7 am. We got a good laugh over your comment about loving Pop Pop Tommy. I think he should open a Hot Pots on Chincoteague.

I can just hear you saying, “Good luck with that” to Bradley. His idea to stay up all night was a stroke of genius. No doubt that genius must have trickled down from the Curtis side of the family. No really, staying up all night sounds like something Suzie and her family would do, doesn’t it? They called last night from near where I just to live in WV, having made it a 3rd of the way to get Griffin. I’m glad the RV made it up the mountain.

I’ll say a little prayer for them today and for you guys and for Adam and Braden and all the other miraculous people God has placed in your path.

Take care you two great adventurers. God Speed and God Bless.

You guys are lucky to have found that great buffet. I lost ten pounds when I went to China because I couldn’t find food that I liked, or find food that would fill me up! I know exactly what you’re feeling!

Great idea on staying up all night and then sleeping during the six hour procedure! I guess that’s something you can do when you’re young, lol. By 1 a.m. I’m knocked out.

    Todd & Bradley,
We were in Florida for several days, couldn’t wait to get back and read what is going on there.
Todd, I want you to know how proud I am of you and your family for what y’all are doing and the sacrifice all are making – you’ve certainly grown into a fine young (36??) man. And what a fine son you and Amy have raised, adjusting to what he is going through.
Glad you’ve been able to make friends and get around to see some wonderful things.
    Love ya’,
    Judy

    Hi Bradley & Todd,

We check your blog everyday and love seeing the pictures most of all. It is like we are there also! Thank you for sharing this miracle with us! It was really awesome to see you guys on Sunday, even Sofia was kinda awe struck! Maybe she thinks you guys, her best friend Olivia’s, Daddy & Brother went away to be “Movie Stars” ?Since you guys were up on the “Big Screen” like all her favorite movie stars! Dillon was so excited that you called him Bradley! He told many of his friends that he got a phone call from his friend who was in China right now. So I know he had to think it was a really big deal, thank you for taking the time to call him, that was cool! We are praying for you and cannot wait to read your next blog!

    Todd, Bradley
This way of staying in touch is not bad. Once I figured it out of course. Sounds like you are having what can be called a better than expected adventure when it comes to a foreign Land. Bradley with his new friends is diffently a GOD Send. The medical treatments don’t appear to be scary either. Hey, I just might have to come over there and spend a few weeks just to lose weight. He HE. The pictures are wonderful and it seems like you are just around the corner. Have a good idea of what it looks like there anyway- the news media is showing the Olympic Boat Racing course that is clogged with this really thick Green Alge. ( Alge Bloom from thier Industrial waste) and it is in your city. Who knows you might even get to see an Olympic event before you come back- Will stay in touch and keep the blog close by so we can stayed tuned for all the latest events. Love You and God Bless You- Dad & Yvonne

    Hi guys!
Loving reading the blogs. I know that Trey and Brad ar talking a lot but they don’t tlak about the details.Transformers, movies, blah blah. When I ask Trey for info I ge nothin! LOL I LOVE being able to see Brad on the webcam and even you to Todd when you make one of your rare appearances. As for seeing you in church. I must say I cried! We really miss you guys! And when Aldyn saw you she couldn’t contain herself.
We are so happy that you have made such wonderful friends and that Brad has other kids to inspire him and keep him lifted up. I can’t imagine how it would be if you were there alone.
I am amazed at how God has put everything together for this whole process. I can see his hand in this from the very beginning and am anxiously excited to see what the results will be.
Missing you guys! April and the Family
