Today Bradley was done early and all we did was go to lunch and then we took it easy. Not much to tell but i wanted to introduce Macie, A girl with ONH and is a very nice Girl. Bradley, Braden, and Macie are all getting along great.
The other pix speak for themselves. Smog, Smog and more Smog. It would be really pretty here if there wasnt so much pollution.
The pix that shows out our window is 3 hotels surrounding an indoor water park. sounds pretty cool but far from being finished.
We have had some success with so Kids here and that is very exciting. Weston is starting to have some light sensitivity and Jarret can see 3ft in front of him instead of 6 inches. Both of these are from only 1 spinal stem cell treatment. I cant swear to it but I think Bradley’s nystigmus(eye movement) is getting better or he has more control over it. Here comes the Blessings….. Stay tuned for more!!!………..

Macie sounds like a cool girl. Its nice they have each other to connect to. Maybe they will form a lifetime friendship. Its neat how God places people in certain places at certain times for a reason..
Have a great night. I’ll try to keep up with your blogs!!
Thinking of you guys-

Love hearing from you on your blog. Keep up the great writing.
Amy sent a link for a news article on Macie this morning. I checked it out. Loved her smile.
I think it’s so great that you two have the opportunity to share this incredible experience whatever the outcome. I don’t think about that much. Bradley’s so incredible just the way he is. He’s always been a blessing: so funny and so smart.
One day he walked up to me and said he had just one word for me. I wonder if he remembers what he said to me. Bet he does.
Take care. I’m going out to cut the grass. Who’s cutting your grass at home, Todd?

Hey Brad, glad you got a new friend. Iheard about the fog. Did you know that a good, clear day in China is like a bad day in Los Angelise. Hope your doing well with twilight princess, and Richard just beat it too. It took him 100 hours!!! I hope you continue to do good

That’s so exciting that some of the children being treated at the same time have already had success and that Bradley is one of them. We know that God will do a miracle, we’ll keep praying as you go through the rest of the treatments and time there. It sounds like you all have found some good places to eat. I love Chinese food, so it sounds delicious!
Love,

Hi Bradley and Todd,
I’m so technology challenged! This is my first blog experience and I don’t have a clue what I’m doing…. I just hope and pray it’s not too late for me to learn something new, because I want you both to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
Bradley, I have needle syndrome, so I don’t envy your treatments. It’s good to know that you are having time for some fun and making good friends and wonderful memories! Those good times will be what you remember most in the years to come, not the treatments. I hope that you are feeling like our old friend Sir Toppum Hattem (spelling) and not like his arch enemy Sir Bottom Shoesum!
Todd, thanks so much for keeping us in the loop with the blog. You are doing a great job making the world a bit smaller and helping us all to feel connected. Bless you!
Missing you and wishing you more good food,
Love,
Aunt Pat

Love the pix, we miss you in Youth and everyone is praying for you and your dad. It was great seeing you in church Sunday. Suzannah had the lesson in SPLASH, Eric was sick. Little Man said she did a good job. It’s been hot here but not as bad as earlier. Carnival is expensive, more than last year. $1.50 per ticket and food has gone up also.
Two groups from Union Baptist sang at the start of the carnival on the 4th of July. They did an awesome job. The had the fireworks early because of storms moving in.
It was really crowded for the 4th, lines on Maddox, had to have the cops directing traffic. Even though there were a lot of people, they weren’t spending a lot of money and the poor waitress weren’t getting tipped very well.
when you get back, maybe P. K. will let you show some pix at youth.
Take care

You are truly doing such a wonderful job to keep everyone updated. God is obviously giving you quite a bit of strength to do what is needed not only for Bradley but for both of you (and the rest of the family) to make the sacrafices necessary to be apart and make this journey and all the while have you selflessly informing us not only of your situation and progress but of His great works going on there. While I know you are aware of the rewards you will see in Bradley’s life I hope you realize the blessing you are bestowing on the rest of us by sharing not only Bradley’s story but the stories of others that would never have touched many of our lives as well. Thank you to you and to Bradley for being brave enough to take this on and kind enough to share the experience with so many of us to open our eyes to the miracles going on all around us every day.
We’ve got you (and the rest of the children there) in our prayers and can’t wait to see you safely home!
Give Bradley a big hug for us!
Michelle (& Paul, Emily, Carissa, Judd, & Garret)

Hey Guys,
Did the expression a 100 ways to skin a cat come from China??? It’s not really important. Just curious. He He That was my feeble attempt at a dose of Humor. Speaking of doses – Bradley must be a real trooper to take all they are giving him and not complain. Well We can’t hear him from here if he is so Todd you have to attest to his braveness when you get back. The emotions must really be flowing with this ordeal. I’d be blubbering like an idiot when you start toward the treatment room. Sorry you have to live with that smog. What a bummer that is. “For every Good there is always a not so good.” (Ancient Chinese Proverb by unknown Chinese Comedian)
Hey when your out of water the horses are dead and the Indians are about to Attack- You have only to look around you and God’s wonderful World will bring you back to an even keel. He sent a Man named Emanuel, Jesus, the Christ way ahead of you to prepare the way. Jesus blazed the trail for you and taught you how to read the signs, Just follow them- how so very simple. Yet as I do so often I get lost, then when I start to look for the trail again- there it is,
Keep the faith and pray hard for Bradley, I believe you should get as much Joy out of this trip as you can. No it won’t all be a bed of sweet smelling flowers but who said you have to smell the bad ones? Love You Guys and wish I could be there too. But they do need the food for the Olympic Tourist. I’m gonna get out of here before I hurt myself with all this humor. Can’t wait until the next up date. Will call Amy and see if I can help out anywhere on this end.
P.S. You will be home in no time. Love Ya Dad & Yvonne

This is Jon from Beike. I live in Qingdao.
Just wanted to calm your nerves about the pollution in case the worry keeps you from going out much. What you see is mostly fog. Qingdao is a foggy city since it is on the ocean.
If you look at http://english.sepa.gov.cn you can see the air pollution rankings. It was at 1 today which is the lowest rating you can get in China at least and probably better than some American cities.
Hope this is helpful.

Bradley and Todd,
Sounds like an experience of a lifetime. Bradley, I can’t wait to hear some of your stories this fall. You’re in our prayers and it sure sounds like the Lord is with you.
Take care and God bless.

Thanks Todd for keeping up with the blog. It’s wonderful to keep in touch and see what’s going on with you and Bradley. It was great to see you in church on Sunday. Todd… God is doing wonderful things in your life. I believe the evidence is in how his perfect plan has worked out in this situation. I’m very thankful that Bradley has Macie, Braden and Adam. God knew exactly who he wanted Bradley to experience this journey with and how awesome it must be to see the improvement in other children as well. Bradley I’m glad you enjoyed the buffet and finally found something you liked. Give your Dad a big hug from all of us. Our prayers are with you both. Andrew arrived in California today and is doing well. He said, “Hi”.
Also, Bradley please send our best to Macie and her family. I watched the News broadcast and am truly amazed at the courage , strength and compassion she has for a 15 year old. We will definitely keep her in our prayers too.
Love ya

Hi, Todd and Bradley! I first learned of your upcoming adventure this past May, when I was researching Chincoteague for a family vacation. I emailed Amy a few times and talked to her on the phone. My husband is a member of the Lions Club, and we are working on raising some extra funds for you, or for whomever may need them. I’ll keep you and your mom posted on progress. If you run out of things to do, try to find a local Lions Club meeting and meet the folks there. One of the purposes of the Lions Club International is to improve vision throughout the world. It would be interesting to see if they are aware of what’s going on right in their own back yard!
Brad, we met your granddad and Bailey (the dog – is that the right name? We aren’t sure if we remember it correctly)while we were on vacation. He took us on a great boat tour and we all got to see the natural beauty of the islands. Don’t get jealous, Brad, but he let my daughter drive the boat
I’ll find out if there is a way to send you a picture on the blog (I’m also technologically challenged) and send it to you if I can.
Now, Todd, about that “Boring and Uneventful”. You’ve got to be kidding!! Nothing about this trip is uneventful!!!! You are on more than just a medical journey – you are one gigantic spiritual journey!! How many people have you been able to talk to about Jesus? How many didn’t already know Him? How many more are there???? He has given you a great gift. Yes, the opportunity to save Brad’s eyesight, but more than that, the chance to glorify Him in a land of unbelievers. He has CHOSEN you to be in China, right where you are, right when you are, for His purposes, and His protection, His grace and His mercy surround you. Since I first talked with Amy, I have been praying, thanking Him in advance for the work He is going to do in Brad, and in China. I can’t wait to hear more about it!
Brad, what is the time difference between here and there? The next time you stay up all night, maybe we can chit-chat via email. Do you have access to a computer – a laptop maybe – or do you have to go somewhere to use it? Don’t want you walking around town in the middle of the night looking for a computer……
I’m glad you found a good place to eat. We found lots of them when we were in ( on? ) Chincoteague. It’s fun to see the pictures, too. I’d like to see one of you with all the acupuncture needles sticking out of you…you’d look like a porcupine
I’ll be praying, and watching for the next entry to the blog.

Hi, guys -
You don’t know me, but I first saw the website about your upcoming journey this past May, when I was researching Chincoteague for a family vacation. Amy and I emailed a bit, and I talked to her once or twice. You see, my husband is a member of the Williamsburg Lions Club, which is part of Lions Club International. One of the purposes of the Lions Club is to improve vision for individuals and people groups across the world, and we have been talking with various clubs and levels of the organization to try to raise more money for you or for whomever may need it now, and to make them aware of this treatment opportunity for the future. I’ll keep Amy updated on the progress.
We did go to Chincoteague in June and had a wonderful time. Brad, your granddaddy and Bailey (is that right? I’m not sure I remember the dog’s name accurately) took us on a great cruise, and we got to see some of the beautiful sites that the area is famous for. Now, don’t be jealous, but Captain Tom let my daughter drive the boat! If I can send a picture of her behind the wheel over this blog, or to your mom’s email address, I’ll send it to you.
We found a broken turtle’s egg on Assateague – now I know how desert camoflauge was designed! I was really sad when I realized that I had left it in our hotel room. We also got to watch a gaggle of baby geese take their first dive and swim. It was so amazing to watch the mom lead them to the pier, bump them into the water and then…..they just swam like they were born to do it (which they were!)
It looks like you two have been finding your way around pretty well, which is more than I can say about me and this blog. I have written one message already today, but I think it disappeared somewhere into cyberspace. If this is the second time you have read this, you can skip the rest. If it’s the first time, I’ll try to make it better than the first.
I’m glad you found good food – that makes everything better. We found lots of it on ( in? ) Chincoteague, too. We loved every place we tried – your mom recommended most of them. And we had good Chinese food!
Brad, if your dad keeps taking pictures, get him to take one of you with all those acupuncture needles sticking out of you – you’d look like a porcupine!
But the lady with the needle phobia probably wouldn’t like that one much….
Todd – about that “Boring and uneventful”. Are you out of your mind?!! Nothing about this trip is uneventful. You are not just on a medical journey, you are on a spectacular spiritual journey. You both were CHOSEN to be where you are, when you are, not just to heal Brad’s eyesight but to glorify Christ in a land of unbelievers. How many people have you been able to talk to about Jesus? How many didn’t know Him until you told them about Him? How many more are waiting? He has a plan for both of you, a plan to prosper you, to give you hope and a future, and He is using you to fulfill His purpose on earth – that none should perish, but that all would come to know Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
I will continue to pray for you both; I think Him in advance for the work He is doing in Brad and the work He is doing in China through you.
Brad, if you plan to stay up all night again, maybe we could email back and forth some. Do you have a laptop or do you have to go somewhere to have computer access? Don’t want you to be wandering around town in the middle of the night…..
Todd, if you find a day with nothing to do, look up the local Lions Club. They may be very interested in talking with you, and may offer help that you haven’t been offered as of yet. It would be interesting to know whether they are aware of what’s going on in their very own back yard….
Goodbye for now – I’ll be checking the blog and cheering you on.
Suzanne Lanier

Bradley & Amy,
I am going to try again to send you this comment, I havn’t been able to get but one to get through.
I am so proud of you both! I can see how God is using this already, to both heal & witness.
Amy you know more about this than any of us, you’ll make the right decisions.
I talked to Dr. James Dobson on the phone & he says they are doing some of these treatments in the United States. He is going to check with our congress & senate, to introduce legislation to back more prodecures that you are using. He wants to talk with you when you get home.
Love Grany
