The Trip So Far

July 19th, 2008

ocean side getting ready for the OlympicsNeat BuildingHi guys, this is Brad.  This is my first blog and I don’t know how Ill do.  Anyway sorry that i haven’t actually wrote a blog but I will try to write some more.  So i have learned like 10 words in Chinese and i thought it might be cool for you to know them to. Here is everything i know :  ni hao- hello or good day, di chin-good bye, xie xie-thanks, bucuchi-your welcome, cun gung dae-very good 12345 ee ar sun sue ooo, and there’s more that i want to learn.

In this adventure we have met some pretty nice people like the translators who are kinda the head of the place when Kirshner is not here. They all take on American names just to make it easier for us Americans.  there is Wendy, she is the one who got me the cross necklace for me.  Then there is Jack who is pretty funny.  One time he asked mom if she wanted to order so food over the webcam.  mom said sure. lol  There is Jessie who runs the website, and Amanda who once fixed the chain to my cross.  I got to meet Kirshner, her son and husband.  They are really nice people to.  The nurses are very nice and they all call me harry potter.  lol.   I have made some new friends here to.

My dad just left to go home today and i wanted to thank him for everything and if your reading this dad which you probably will thank you, I’m praying for your safe trip home and it has been fun.  your awesome !

OK, the truth is I’m tired of writing so ill end and and say thanks to all of my supporting freinds and family because my eye movements are already slow down. so xie xie!!

    Ni Hao- Bradley,
Hey it looks like there is room in the literary world for you. Not one mispelledd wooord did I see. I take pride pride in what I write so it is absolutelly purfecct an undestood abowl . ha ha he he he Well it’s great to know your transistion with the Home crew has been smooth and that you are actually experiencing some improvement. In a couple of weeks, months you will really know the difference. I have ee question for you. If ar and ar = sue. Then what do 000 minus ee equal? sue too. This is one language that you can’t play around with and be serious. You can have a lot of fun with it. Just don’t offend your Host and Hostess with some silly ranting. That ‘s something I would do and not on purpose either. So what’s your favortie (foreign) food so far? Chichen, Beef. Pork, Vegetables?
Has the Harry Potter tag worn off or is it permanent with the Chinese. Strange world isn’t it. They are look like Lucy Lu and Jet Li to me. Why is that? he he
You know, it looks like, from the pictures being posted that your thinning out a little. Have you noticed a wieght change or it that just the camera. Most people say the camera makes them look fat. ( I really only hear that from Women, Men really don’t care what the camera makes them look like) Amy why aren’t you in the pictures.? hmmmmm. The plot thickens. he he ,just couldn’t resist that.
Rest well Bradley and di chin for now. WE are so terribly proud of you and your fellow patients too. We pray for your continued success and safe return.
    Love Grandpa and Grandma Yvonne

Hi Bradley, You did a great job on the blog. That was neat that you shared Chinese with us. Now you will have to pronounce the words for us when you get home. I’m glad that you are able to get out and experience some of China. I hope you have taken lots of pictures for an album. Glad your Mom arrived safe. I can imagine her trying new (unknown) food. LOL Take good care of your Mom. I wonder who they will think she is if you are Harry Potter. Keep up the good work. We are praying for you.
    Love, Miss June

Hey Bradley! I’m not even going to attempt to write in Chinese like those other brave people. You need to be careful with foreign languages. Sometimes if you mispronounce a word even just a little, it comes out sounding like a cuss word. If your dad was there, he’d probably laugh, but your mom might smack you! LOL I wish you the best with learning a new language! :) That’s awesome about the antique sword! We can’t wait to see it!

It was great to hear from you–We pray for you every day. Tell your mom hello! Love, Kara & the rest of the lazy Winums who never write.

Savanna asked me to tell you hello. Natalie said Savanna misses you although Savanna does not admit that.
Glad you guys are doing okay..

Great job Bradley. When you get home, I need lessons on how to pronouce the chinese words you have learned. I’m so proud of how well you have done with your treatments. There have been so many prayers said for you. I know that is why you have been able to be so brave. I just sent you an email so write me when you have time.

    Love you and miss you,
    Mom Mom
