The worst is over for our little man!

May 5th, 2008

Brayden officially finished the worst part of his journey!  He made it through the fourth and final spinal injection today with flying colors!  They started his IV at about 1:00.  He went into the OR at about 2:15 and was back out by 2:35.  Everything went very quickly and very smoothly.  He is into his second hour of laying flat now.  The first hour was a fight trying to get him to relax, but now he and Brylie are both out like a light.  Hope that lasts for awhile.  Jason and I are enjoying the peace and quiet and watching 3 seasons of Two and a Half Men.  Can’t beat it!!

We did hear that we had a fatality in the last string of storms that came through!  Dad and Mom went over to mow our grass, and Brayden’s trampoline that he got for his birthday was all bent up from the wind!  Guess we should have tied it down before we left.

Hess and Henson families, I am glad to hear that the wedding was beautiful and that it went smoothly!   I really hate it that we missed it.  I can’t wait to see the pictures!

Thank you all for your continued prayers!  Have a good Monday!

So glad that the worst is over. I think about you every day when I drive by your mom and dad’s (and lots of other times too). Gary is really missing seeing Brayden and Brylie. I know this has been a really tough experience for you all but someday you will look back on your “Great Adventure” as a turning point in Brayden’s life. Good things will come from this.
Looking forward to seeing you guys – The Browns

Yeah Brayden So happy to hear that this one when smooth and very happy that the injections are over. I know you’ve heard it before, but I must say it again. You guys are amazing Not many parents would go to the lengths that you two have to help their challenged child.
    10 days and counting :)
    Love and prayers

P.S. the pics of the flowers were great. Putting Brylie next to them really shows how big they were.

We are so glad that things went well today. Bryan and I so look forward to reading your blogs every morning and hearing how things are going. We prayed for you tonight at the St. Ann’s meeting at St. Bridget. Just know that so many people – some that don’t even know your story – are pulling for Brayden.

P.S. Loved the pics of the flowers! Do you think they would deliver here from China? lol
