first stem cell treatment

May 18th, 2007

Well, Brooklyn had her first stem cell transplant today. She slept through most of it, according to the dr. She slept afterward and she is still sleeping at 6:32 pm. We are hoping she will be fine tomorrow and then we have Sunday off. I think her next treatment will be on Wednesday. Sorry for the short update – the dr needs to take a look at her.

Heath – so glad to hear from you this AM. Glad the first one is out of the way. Hope all of you are hanging in OK. The guys are here now breaking up the cement around the pool to replace the walk. I’m nervous – hope everything goes good here too.
Pistons eliminated the Bulls last night & move into East conference finals. Wings lost & series tied at 2-2 . Going to game here Sunday . Tigers doing OK but lost double header yesterday to Bocton. The phone & this blog are just great. Can’t imagine going thru this & not being able to communicate. Will keep in touch

DAD – all my love to both of you

It sounds like you a “Ms. China Princess” are doing well. Keep everyone posted and continue to call me as you can (and want). You can call any time you need to talk.

How come I’m not seeing any other postings on your site? I know I sent one and Rob and John (from the auction) said they posted something, too. After I add a comment it says it has to be approved. Do you do that?

Sydney was great last weekend. We had a lot of fun with her and Liam really got a kick out of her. We went to the island nursery to pet some animals (she loved the pond); we met mom and dad to get ice cream later that night; and then we saw her the next day at mom & dad’s. She has so much personality! She’s a ball of fun!

Give Brookie a big kiss from us.

    Love, Nik

    Heather,

Talked to Scott in church and he said you & Brook are doing fine at the moment. Hope it continues. I lit a candle at church for you & Brook and will continue to do so until you come home. I’m sure you’re looking forward to Scott and Sydneys’ visit. Will continue to read your updates.

    Hugs to you both.

    Diane
