my first night alone – what a nightmare
May 22nd, 2007
On Tuesday my dear friend lauren headed back to shanghai on the train, which I hear was quite the experience. Of course, as luck would have it, the first night I was along brooke woke up at 12:15 vomiting – she vomited 4 times over the course of an hour and a half. She was in my bed, so I had to strip the bed and change her pj’s about 5 times and my pj’s once. She finally fell back asleep around 2:30. She has been ok so far today – they gave her some natural medicine to help her stomach – I am thinking it was something she ate. She has not had a fever or anything else, and I am hoping it stays that way. She is scheduled for a treatment tomorrow – not sure if that will happen tomorrow or not. I am doing fine here by myself – there a lot of nice people here from all over the world and we are keeping each other company. I must run – brooke is fussing. Will let you know what happens tomorrow.
Thanks again to everyone for the support. Many of you have sent me great news about things going on in your lives and I am happy for you.

Hi Heather – I don’t know if you remember me. I’m your moms cousin.(Uncle Mickey) I hope you don’t mind that your Aunt June sent me your info. I just want to tell you that I’ll be praying for success with the treatments. I know it must be hard being by yourself while your child goes through this. I’m routing for you both. In more important news: Britney Spears was caught lip-syncing at one of her mini come-back concerts, Paris Hilton is going to jail for 25 days for driving on a suspended license and Jordon and Blake go on tonight to determine who is the next Americaon Idol. We will keep you posted.

Hi Heather-Holly from Extreme here! I got the info from your mother-in-law! I am so happy to hear that all is going as well as you could expect. It sounds like you’ve had a great time exploring! I will be checking frequently to see how things are going. Please know that I am praying for you, Brooklyn & the rest of your family. I will pray for safe travel for Scott & Sydney this weekend. If you have any specific prayer requests PLEASE let me know. I would love to pray for you. Right now it’s just to cover each of you while you are gone and that all treatments can go as well as to be expected.

Heath – narurally things go that way when you don’y have help – hang in there. My eye surgery today went fine – it was a snap. Took about 8 minutes but now I have 2 eyes seeing differently – weird. Will get the other eye done soon. Weather here is finally turning ( in the 80s ). Pool is up & running – ready for the holiday weekend. Wish you guys were here. There sure a lot of people always asking about you & Brooke. There’s a lot of prayers & thoughts going on for you guys in the auction business. We have gained a new respect for you Heather as a mother & the choice you made for Brooke. It’s not easy leaving your family for this long. We miss you 2 a lot. Will continue to talk as often as possible.
