finished 2nd week of treatment
May 26th, 2007
Brooklyn finished her second week of treatment here in Hang Zhou. She is doing well – her next treatment isn’t until Wednesday so Scott will be here for that. That will be another spinal treatment and i was not looking forward to going through that alone. There isn’t too much excitement here – we just walked to the bank so we have enough money for our return trip to the market tomorrow and then we will visit West Lake. I think there are 8 “families” going from the floor – this should be interesting. We are leaving at 8am – I am not looking forward to that. I am going to have to make sure we both get to bed early today and see if I can figure out how to set the alarm. I am going to try to get Brooke down for a rest. Thanks for the support and prayers – I hope we won’t disappoint. Scott and Sydney will arrive in China on Sunday, I should get to see Scott on Wednesday and Sydney on Thursday. I am looking forward to it. I hope they have a safe trip.

Can’t believe it’s been two weeks already. I’m glad you and Brooke are getting around so well. I’m sure Syd will be a big hit in China also. Enjoy having a little break.

Talked to Scott in church and he said you & Brooke are doing fine at the moment. Hope it continues. I lit a candle at church for you & Brooke and will continue to do so until you come home. I’m sure you’re looking forward to Scott and Sydneys’ visit. Will continue to read your updates. You are both in my prayers.

We got Scott and Sydney on the plane safe and sound and it looks as though they got off on time. Sydney was quite excited to leave. She had a good nights sleep and was up at 7:30 Saturday morning. Hopefully she will sleep on the plane. She was asking on the way to the airport how much longer before we land in China? Had a suitcase full of goodies and a couple of pb & j sandwiches. I think she will enjoy her food much more than the food on the airplane. It was raining and rather chilly when they left so I imagine they will enjoy the warmer climate of Shanghai. Talk to you soon and give Brooklyn a hug and a kiss for us.

Mom & I went to the airport to see Scott & Syd off – she’s a little excited. She looked like the real traveler with her back pack,pulling her other bag. I don’t think she has a clue though as to the length of the flight. Maybe she won’t be as eager to fly home – especially when she has to get on a plane without her mom again. She might not let you out of her sight for a while. I think she might come & spend a couple nights here when they get back . Scott could pick her up here on his way to the airport or we could just meet him there. We want to come & see you guys when you get in on the 17th. That will be a great Father’s Day gift. Hope Brooke does well with her 3rd treatment next week. I wasn’t aware that every other one was a spinal. Thank God that will be the last time for her . I’ll have you guys in my thoughts on Wednesday – I’ll be in KC.
Looking forward to getting my other eye fixed . This current situation is a little crazy with 2 eyes seeing differently. Mom is counting down the days – school is almost over .

WOW two weeks already. I’m sure you can’t wait to see Syd. My prayers are still with you. Hope you have fun at the market. Sounds like it will be quite the experience!

I read your updates everyday. If nothing is posted for that day I read it over again. Glad that Scott will be joining you soon. Know it must be very difficult doing nothing all day. Glad you have support from the others that are there too. Lauren keeps us in the loop so we know what is happening. I will be flying to DC next Saturday and then we return to El Paso on Tuesday. It will be nice having her home. Jen is driving in tomorrow so we will have a nice visit, even if it is only for 2 days. WE pray for Brook everyday. Know tha angels are watching over her. TAke care.
