24 hours and counting

It is exactly 24 hours before I begin the next big adventure of my life. My right hand aches constantly making my first blog entry painful. Oh well, at least I can write still. Let’s hope that a few spare stem cells will find their way to my carpel tunnel inflicted wrists and work a little magic.

I am surprisingly calm, excited yes, but not nervous in the least about tomorrow. I wonder if that is a sign at all. I choose to interpret it as a positive sign, nothing else.

I have chosen to spend this last day in Canada taking my youngest daughter to the theatre. I have tickets for “Wicked” and will be joined by my close friend Christine and her two nieces. My travel partner, Jens, will be flying in from Florida today at 4 pm. My best friend Bonnie will pick him up at the airport and meet us at my house for a bon voyage drink. I feel truely blessed to have such good friends. If nothing else, I have learned from this experience that I am surrounded with sound friends as opposed to casual accaintances.
