Nicely done Suzy. It was a surprise to exrpnieeced Japanese and who would imagine an earthquake so big along with flooding. It was the double whammy that hit the 40 year old ready for retirement reactors. Ironically they were originally scheduled to be closed this month. They officially opened March 1971. Fukushima Daiichi means the First Fukushima. Teaching them a little Japanese would not hurt and the fact that it is Japan's very first Nuclear plant means they stood the test of time and were a little tired and old. Probably experiencing several smaller quakes in the past. The other sister plant 11 km to the south is called Fukushima Daini which means Second Fukushima.

Cool video. I wish they'd clarify what kind of stem cells they are adoivatcng the use of, however. Not many people would disagree that stem cells have incredible potential and have proven to be of unprecedented value. Yet, there is still an important debate on the ethics of embryonic vs matured stem cell use for anything. Part of me leaps for joy at the prospect of cures while at the same time another part of me suffers with the idea of the cost to human life. I think viewers need to know. So, what are they adoivatcng in this video?
