Monday after Injection
July 14th, 2008
Jeff had his injection early this morning which is good and bad. He could not eat after 7 am, so is now starving because the last real thing he ate was dinner last night at 6. He woke up with a headache and I am hoping it is just because he is hungry. I made some bland rice–that is all he wanted–and he seems to be a little better now. Also because he had it so early, he had already sleep all night and then had to turn around and sleep again for 6 more hours. He did not have pain from the injection, which is a blessing.
He is now sitting upright in a chair and talking, so maybe he is feeling better. I am about to make dinner, either grilled cheese-yum! or my Mom’s famous chicken mac-n-cheese. Jeff will get to choose. We are almost out of the food we brought so it was worked out pretty well
When we wake up in the morning, we have one week-7 days left. I started packing today. I did not want to feel rushed at the end or I am just really ready to come home.
My children went to the beach today so I am going to miss getting to see them on the webcam. Oh well it will make me enjoy it that much more when I finally get to see them and give them a big hug.
This week Jeff has therapy each day and another treatment on Friday. I will update any progress over the next few days.

No coffee when you got up – there’s the headache cause!!
Hope you can sleep tonight after so much sleep before and after treatments. Stay focused this week. I know you guys are homesick but we’re on the final countdown. We’ve missed you so much and can’t wait to see you in person so we can get and give hugs and see all the progress you’ve made.
I am grateful to God from the depths of my soul for this treatment and all of the doctors and nurses and staff who helped to make it possible, not only for Jeff but for all of the others who have had or will have the treatments. Love Mom

Jeff – it’s great to hear about your progress. I know you and Leslie miss those girls. We didn’t get a chance to have you over before you left, so we’ll wait and celebrate your progress when you get back. Anthony

Keep your chin up Leslie. I know it is hard being so far away, but the results will be worth everything. Hannah and Emily will have fun at the beach and probably bring home several hermit crabs for you to take care of!!! We are all excited to see you and Jeff and the progress he has made.

Hang in there guys! We can’t wait for you to come home and show us all of this progress. Just wanted you to know that we haven’t stopped praying for daily miracles and a safe trip home. David and I have enjoyed checking the blog everyday.
