Hi All
There has not been too much to write about. We have been settling into a routine of treatments and generally waiting about in between. Daisy is getting better at her physio now that she is regaining strength.
She had her 1st lumber puncture stem and was very good at having the IV put in as well as the acutallyt reatment so the nurses tell me (we are not allowed in the treatment roon for lumber punctures), though she didn’t tolerate the laying down for six hours too well! She kept trying to lift her head and ended up in some kind of pain. Big cuddles from Mummy helped sort that one out and she went to sleep for the majority of the convalesing time. When she woke she was much better and managed to eat before snugling back into me for some more sleep. The only problem with that is that when it comes to our bedtime Daisyhas already had her quota of sleep and we are tired. She still didn’t feel too good and did manage to sleep for most of the night albeit disturbed in the double bed with Dean whilst I was in the hospital bed. I’m not complaining – it has been the most comfortable nights kip that I’ve had since arriving. To say that the beds in the hospital are not the best is a bit of an understatement.
Daisy muscles have been a bit sore today so we put off our trip into the tourist area of Hangzhou and have just chilled out again today. I am hoping that Daisy will be up for a day out tomorrow before beginning another week of therapy & treatment.
So far I cannot say that we have seen any improvements to Daisy’s condition but it early days yet so please keep your fingers crossed for us.
Ciao for now

Neehow (hello in Mandarin)
Not much to write about today. Daisy has a been coughing and spluttering like mad and I think it’s been driving her crazy. She has managed to eat a bit more today so that is all good. She missed her physio today as she had a CT scan of her head, not sure how good the image came out as she kept coughing and moving whilst it was being done. She also had a ultrasound for them to check her solitary kidney. It’s strange going around the hospital – everyone keeps staring at us foreigners and they did not like that we just went straight into the CT scan earlier -I thought it was going to kick off with a few of the natives and the staff. I suppose to them it appeared that we just walked in and queue jumped so I can’t blame them.
All the staff on our floor are lovely and friendly though they keep laughing at me when I try to say thank you in Mandarin. And there was me thinking I was bilingual haha.
Daisy had some accupunture today which she didn’t particularly like but I think she was just a bit fed up. She also had some electric wave therapy on her upper arms and her thighs. That was quite funny, her limbs kept twitching but she wasn’t fazed, she was too busy watching a DVD. It was just like one on those slendertone thingys that tone your muscles for you. She fell asleep after that.
Finally ventured out this evening to get a KFC of all things! Everyone stared out in the street as well even going passed on their bikes and scooters they just blatently look. They drive like loons out here as well and seem to go through red lights if the fancy takes them.
Ohwell at least I’m not driving!
Bye for now

Hi Everyone
Finally made it, around 30 hours after leaving home, feeling rather tired and jet lagged. Unfortunately, Daisy caught mine and Dean’s cold and has had a temperature.
Since Daisy has been under the weather we haven’t really ventured out. I have been going stir crazy over the weekend spending all my time within the same few walls. Dean has popped out albeit only over to the supermarket where he said he got stared at and people even walked away from him, ha ha. It is a bit like being an alien out here – not many foreigners as far as I can see.
Daisy’s temperature settled down on Sunday and today she has just been sneezing and coughing like mad. She managed to do some physiotherapy and some standing but it has really knocked her for six, especially has she hasn’t really been eating.
She had her first lot of stem cells through an IV and was really good about it. She is now asleep so we’ll have to wait and see whether they actually do anything. She has therapy again tomorrow and Wednesday along with electric wave therapy (?) and acupuncture. Her second lot of stem cells will be on Thursday and that will be by lumber puncture which should be fun- NOT. She will have to lie very still and afterwards she will not be allowed to lift her head for around six hours.
Hope you are all having a nice Easter and enjoying the cold snap. In-case you’re interested the weather here is lovely – hopefully it’ll stay like that when I eventually get to go out in it.
Nathalie.
