Slow Saturday

March 8th, 2008

Well nothing new again today….Mother nature is making these last days here very difficult as we are on our 3rd day of rain.  I know the weather is worse where you are but we need to be able to go outside for sanity as the room is getting smaller each day and I don’t think that could be possible.  Sophie one of the nurses here said the rain should be over tomorrow so hopefully we will be able to get out for a little bit but I’m sure not for long as I’m sure the air will not be the greatest after 3 days of rain.

The 5th treatment is down and only 1 more to go (thank goodness) they are not getting easier as I was hoping so the last treatment will be a relief as we are sooooooooo ready to come home!!!!!

Also, I do have some sad news……. I am out of PB&J sandwhiches.  I had my last one for lunch today:( I think I would win on how to make 2 loafs of bread last for 3 weeks or should I say toast for the last 2 weeks.  It is kind of strange but nice to see the supplies running low as that means we are almost home…..I think it might just have to be a BUD diet for the rest of the stay:)

I did hear some good news today that Jenna did well for her 18 month pictures.  Yes, that’s right Dad had to take her to Siebe for her picture with the bunnies.  I did of course ask Aunt Jodie (Pat’s sister) to go with just to make sure her dress was on the right way:)(just kidding honey)  So, thanks Jodie for all your help I heard they turned out nice and I can’t wait to see them!!!! or in that case I can’t wait to see her…..it is getting very difficult.  Devin and I watched a video we took of her before we left and I could only image how much she has changed during this time:(

Well that’s it for the day and by this time next week we will be packing our bags!!!!!!

Have a great Saturday and Peggy I hope the girls have fun with the bunnies today!!!!

    Hi Guys,
Hang in there, only 8 days to go and we move our clocks one hour ahead tonight so you will be one hour closer to coming home! I hope and pray that your last spinal goes smoothly and that the time goes quickly for you both! It’s a heat wave here today – it’s in the teens!! I hope the weather gets better for you so you are able to get somewhat fresh air! Devin, I dreamt last night about you doing amazing things and I am praying that my dreams come true – but you are amazing anyway, Devin – just look at how far you have come and all that you have done! You are both wonderful and we are praying that wonderful things happen for you! We’ll talk to you soon – hugs and kisses, love and prayers and I’ll see you in my dreams!

    We Love You!

    Hi Kim and Devin,
Sorry to hear that you haven’t been able to get outside for a few days. If it’s any consolation we haven’t either. You’re down to the final week soon you’ll be home. I hope you have plans to bring the spring weather with you because otherwise Jenna’s little tush will get a bit chilled in those crotchless pants. Stay strong and positive only one more treatment to go. Youre always in our thoughts and prayers. Oh and I’m glad you enjoyed the book.

    Hi Kim and Devin,

The days are numbered now and we can not wait for the both of you to be back in Cuba City. There will be plenty of snow left to enjoy :)

Devin, you keep up the good work. We are all thinking of you. Make mommy rub your back and your toes(careful, she might do a little tickling) :)

Keep smiling(Kim-just think of Bernie in a snow bank in front of your house…..)

    Hugs from the Hoppmans!
