Final Treatment Day!!!!
March 12th, 2008
Well today Devin did an awesome job in therapy. Kerri was very happy with him today working so hard. Hopefully that will make him a little tired by this afternoon for treatment.
We also had a good lunch today!!! When Jena and I were out last night we found a Subway so all of us American’s placed an order and we just pitched in for the delivery fee. Yes, we are all that desperate to have good food as we sent a driver into the city which is 30 minutes one way to get us Subway for lunch. Trust me when I say it was well worth it and I was smart and got the foot long so I alreay have supper for tonight!!!!
Well it’s time to go back to the room as they will be starting the prepping for the spinal here shortly. I will let you all know tomorrow how the last spinal went.

Hi Guys,
I hope the final spinal treatment went well for you Devin, I hope you weren’t too much of a challenge for your mom. The Stem Cells treatment was in the NBC Nightly News last night again. I didn’t catch all of it. We will get the full scoop from you and Devin real soon!! Speaking of NBC news, Our favorite news reporter Natalie Morales is expecting and Campell Brown gave birth to a baby boy 6 weeks ago. Just alittle American FYI for ya. The snow is disappearing and after today hopefully will be almost gone!! we can actually see brown grass! Have a great night and talk to ya when you get home. Love, Biill, Sue, Hals & Conner

Hi Kim & Devin,
By the time you get this, you will be all done with LAST spinal. We hoped and prayed all went great. Devin, you are such a big trooper, I’m sure all went smooth as pie. Just wanted to let you know we can’t wait to hear how things went.
Devin, now you can take it esay, kick back and relax – You too Kim & have one for me – you deserve it. Give Devin a sip too, he deserves it…. I won’t tell Dad, Devin!

Hi Devin and Kim,
Yeah, the treatments are done and I hope that all went well. Since I’m watching morning news now I saw an interesting piece on the Today show about an 18 month boy who received a stem cell treatment and the positive results from it. I’m praying that you see the same in some way. I enjoyed reading your Subway and chocolate stories. Just think of all the Easter chocolate you can have when you get back. Speaking of treats, did I tell you, Devin, that your first grade friends sent me a basket of goodies for my recovery. There was a box of goldfish crackers in it. Guess whose face popped in my mind when I saw that!!! I hope your last days go quickly.

Hello Devin and Kim,
It’s Wednesday again, but tonight I will be busy planning for this summer’s Vacation Bible School. Devin and Kim you both continue to amaze me, your strength and courage. I have started praying to St. Christopher for your safe and uneventful flight home. See you in Cube City soon!!!!

I have been thinking about the two of you each day. We are looking forward to seeing you back in school soon, Devin. We miss your visits to the office and your nice smile. Have a safe trip back to Wisconsin, and we will see you both very soon.
