G’day folks, no great news to report today . I had my sixth lumbar punture on monday, i have not slept well for two nights , so physio has been hard and i have not made much progress but that happens when you are tired, they said. For your information astrid , andy the physio and accupunture man has been using cups on my lower back it reminds me of your treatment at home .I will ask him questions about the accupunture treatment for you . we are planning to go out sunday for sightseeing . Hi everyone ,having a day off today , although i did some exercises myself this morning with annettes assistance we took some pictures off the ward today , other than that it has been a quiet day i have my program for next week , i have my next lumbar punture on monday and we have rest days on friday and sunday next weekend will be our last one here we are looking forward to coming home. As i have said i am making some progress but it is going to be a long road they say the best results will come in three to six months time, but i have to work hard to achieve my goals . One thing we have noticed over here they let off fireworks all hours of the day and the night we have been told it is to celebrate every occasion births, deaths, marriages ,etc. thanks for the messages dean ,mum ,brett good luck with touch on monday and wednesday.missing you all love the Irwinsxoxoxoxxo

Hi everyone , its been a very busy week sorry we have not written before this , annette has been sick again and courtney is sick today .Mondays lumbar punture went well and i had another dose today through the drip , so no laying on your back for six hours i am having progress with my strength ,walking and my speech is stronger and clearer .The physio is quite hard but it seems to be working from a laying position i can now lift my body up to a sitting position ,i am getting close to being able to get out of bed myself unaided .Annette went to the night markets on wednesday to look for souveniers they was not much there but they are very busy and you have to negociate all your prices but you usually end up getting your price , we hope to get out next sunday to try and find some more things.They have drivers who will take you to sight seeing spots for a small fee.sorry we have not been able to post pictures we can not work out the computer we are taking plenty of pictures to bring home, thanks for your messages tony, heath ,tim,aud,madeline.I will disscuss tattoos when i get home madeline . we will write again sunday or monday as we have the weekend off.all our love the Irwinsoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Hi everyone,some good news from my mum ,apparently there has been a breakthrough in research into the cause of motor neuron disease a gene has been discovered that mutates and causes the illness, so they can start treating the gene with different drugs to find a cure. This gives all sufferers renewed hope that there will be a cure soon, the discovery was made in australia.All is going well over here we are getting over our sickness.I recieved my program for the next week , i have my next lumbar punture on monday at 2.30pm around the time you play mixed in lismore dean, so think of savage when you are setting mat up for a try.I do physio, wave therapy and accupunture each morning from 8.30am.We have rest days next weekend hopefully we might get out next sunday as we have been to sick this week. Hi everyone sorry we have not updated, but we have had some sickness in the camp.Annette has contracted puemonia on monday and was on a drip for 2and a half hours 2 days in a row, courtney has been sick also as well as myself.They have given us antibiotics as well as some chinese medicines,one of the medicines has snake bile in it, it tastes rank but i think it works.The progress has been slow this week due to me being sick i still try hard but i have been feeling weak , i had my second lumbar punture on wednesday , once again i had to lay still with my head not moving for six hours it was the longest six hours ever. The only pain is when they first put the needle in your back for the local anastetic.Thursday was the usual accupunture, physio and wave therapy .Friday is a rest day this week i have physio and the rest tommorow and a rest day sunday . Hi everyone thanks for all your comments, dean&deb, astrid,mum(pat), corr.Its good to hear from all of you,and your kind words give me the inspiration to keep going.Dean they gave me more rhino juice and stem cell on friday for everyone else that was my second dose of stem cells and hgh(human growth hormone) it was done through a drip so i did not have to lay still for six hours.My next spinal injection is on wednesday.I have had the usual physio and accupunture thursday and friday they are working more on my fingers, with the right hand showing some improvement, theleft hand still hard to get going, but this hand was the first to get weak when i got sick its very hard work and i sweat heaps during it.The doctors and annette think my speech has improved as well.We will try to put pictures on our next log, it is hard to work the computer because it is all in chinese, annette has some good pictures of the accupunture treatment.Saturday and sunday are rest days we went shopping today and visited the bullfrogs and eels, everyone stares at us in particular courtney, and they try and talk to us but we have no idea what they are saying.Its is funny how they smoke everywhere here in the shopping centre and the hospital, thankfully our floor is smoke free. Thats all for now , missing you all heaps will write again on monday or tuesday.

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments, we are missing you all very much thanks caitlan for your messages.Sunday i went shopping with annette and courtney we saw live eels and bullfrogs for sale at the supermarket, the weather was not that cold i think we have missed all the snow, which is good.Sunday was a rest day, monday i had my first lumbar punture treatment it was not that painfull , except i had to lay with my head still for six hours.I also had the usual physio and accupunture in the morning, the stem cell was done at 2.30 in the afternoon. Tuesday, normal physio and accupunture in the morning , annette and courtney went shopping again the supermarket was very busy it was like christmas time, everyone was very pushy.we are having spaghetti for dinner tonight. Physio was hard today, i have not noticed any changes yet , but it is only early days with lots of hard work to come, but i am trying my best. Once again thanks for all your love and support, hopefully will talk to you on skype on wednesday night 6.00pm n.s.w time.annette has bought a headset and there is a web cam here also, if we can work it.We will write again on thursday.bye for now.

we arrived wednesday 13th feb after a night stopover at hong kong.plane and airport staff were very helpful in assisting geoffrey at the airports and on and off the planes.Its very cold in Hangzhou,snow on roofs and in piles on the roads.we have not taken any pictures yet, but hope to soon.I had my assesment on thursday and we now have our treatment schedule.Friday was a free day, annette went to the supermarket with courtney it was an experience, they have meat hanging up in the supermarket ,and live fish for you to pick from . We nearly got run over the cars do not stop on the crossings it is very different to home.The hospital staff are all very friendly, and they all love courtney,some speak english which is very good.There are people from all over the world staying here, but many of the patients are children.There are australians here from bundaberg who are very nice but they are going home on tuesday.Today i had my first pyhsio & accupunture sessions it was painful and tiring, i also had electric wave therapy.My first stem cell treatment is on monday 18th feb, i also have the pyhsio & accupunture five days a week.Hopefully we will have some pictures to send soon.We are missing our family and friends especially geoffs mum. We will write again after the first treatment.goodbye till then
