Today Grace as back doing her therapies as normal starting the day with one and a half hours of physio and an hour of accupuncture, breaking for lunch and then 40 minutes of electrical wave therapy. Most of that went well today, her back was a little sore from the spinal yesterday so we had to adapt her routine a little and she tolerated most of it. The accupuncture went very well and after the initial shock of having needles in her head and chin she settled down nicely, she also had a big sleep just after it and finally relaxed from yesterdays ordeal.
I spent the rest of the afternoon craming anyhting with a high calorie content down her neck as she’s lost quite a bit of weight since we got here. She arrived with an ulcer on the tip of her tongue that was huge, she couldn’t eat or drink for a few days and she’s still playing catch up from that. We got some chinese medicine from the pharmacy and it cleared it up pretty quickly and her appetite has come back now so fingers crossed by the time we come home she’ll have a belly to rival Rose!
We haven’t managed to get out for a walk since Sunday so we’re both a bit stir crazy and sick of the sight of each other but hopefully we’ll get out tomorrow. The days here are too lovely to stay in even with the smog.
On anther matter Good Luck to Orla, Paul and Jon on setting out to there new life in Australia, we’ll be landing on your doorstep demanding B&B before you know it.
That done i’m afraid there’s not much else to say. It’s pretty routine here with Physio and other therapies with another IV scheduled for friday.
Hi,
This blog is such a crackin` idea. Its great to just log on and check how you both are getting on. It sounds like she is being a right little trooper, she is such a good girl. I am very proud of my little sis. X
No news from here except its been trying to snow for the last 3 days! Gary has just become an Uncle again, his Sister-in-law gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Thursday weighing nearly 9 lbs.
Is there anything you would like me to send over to help pass the time for you in between all the therapy? Just email or text me and I will sort it out.
I found the most beautiful flowergirl dresses for Grace and Rose. I cant wait to see them on. They are going to look SOOO cute!
Orla text me last night. They landed safely in Canberra and had checked into their apartment. It all seems to have gone smoothly. She said she would contact us once they were settled.
As always my thoughts are with you both.
Big Kiss to Grace X
Lots of love,
Siobhan & Gary X x X x

Grace is so good putting up with all the prodding and poking and messing about, but it will be worth it in the end.
I cant wait for you to come back, I want to do Tatton Park together and The Farm Shop.
I miss you. Owen keeps asking when are you coming home I say, its only been a week but it feels longer! I bet the time is flying for you. Are you sick of the chinese food yet? Do you buy food and prepare it in your room or get takeaways?
I spoke to Michael yesterday, he was doing some shopping and housework you have him well trained!
Ethan has been sick again last week so Ive changed his milk and he seems to have settled down again and putting a bit of weight on. He went so thin bless him, Cath’s little is heavier than him and she’s 3 months younger!!!!

Hi Leanne and Grace
Great to hear all is going well. I must tell Dominick that Grace did not object to the needles in acq, he wouldn’t allow it after one needle. Id forgotton about the blog its a great idea. We did a quick trip to London this weekend and did some of the sights. It was probalby the coldest weekend of the year but the kids enjoyed it. Give a kiss to Grace for us. Annette Dominick and Ailis
Hiya lovlies
Glad to hear that Grace, as ever, is coping well, she’s a little star, bless her, and her mum is too.
Everything fine here, Michael and Rose are coping well although Rose was a bit cross yesterday after nursery, but on the whole she is her ususal chipper self.
It’s about 7 in the morning here and I’m going to ring you in about half an hour but thought I’d post this is case I get the timing wrong and you are busy.
It’s a releif to know that Grace’s apetite is getting back to normal, she’ll be sharing your meals now then and be needing a new wardrobe when she gets back.
love and miss you both
Mum xx
Hi Leanne and Grace
I loved the pictures.. Grace looks cute asleep..the sunset over the buildings looks really lovely… I’ve had so much trouble with my washing machine, maybe I should go down to the local river and wash my clothes, I wonder if they use Bold???.. I’m glad Grace’s treatment is going well.
I’ve stayed in hospital with Liam when he was little, I got a mattress
on the floor, so your room is very nice in comparison. Although, I could imagine that if its nice outside, you’d feel like getting out and if you can’t.. then you’d feel couped up.
What date are you back? I know it’s after 7th as you’re missing college then.. we were told last week that if we have an attendence of less than 81%, it could jeopardise us doing other courses… Mine was 81% so I’m just ok.. I think peoples were wrong though so I wouldnt worry about it. I don’t know if you’re going to enrol for indian head massage… theres only 16 places so I think everyones enrolling w/c 7/4. the college have decided not to do reflexology for part-timers next September as loads of full-timers have subscribed. We can only do indian head or anatomy and Physiology.
if you want to me to enrol you bu giving your name when I enrol to hold your place, I can do that, just let me know on the web site … I’m not sure if that was the route you were following or not…Take care, jenny
Hi Leanne and Grace.
It’s super to keep up to date with all that’s happening with you. Unfortunately the County firewall won’t allow us to view Grace’s blog at school so I am printing it at home and posting it in the staffroom for all to see. The photos are great, it looks a really nice place- is the smog really bad?
Every year at school we have 20 or so men and women bikers arrive with Easter eggs for all the children – they make such a noise as they arrive and as you can guess the children love it. They are allowed to sit on the motorbikes as long as they don’t move!! Some of the machines are old, vintage models, some are like tricycles and others have sidecars. They came last Wednesday and we have saved an Egg for Grace – I’m sure she’ll share it with Rose.
On the day we broke up we had a special ‘Splash of Pink’ day in memory of Molly. It was a lovely day with everyone looking very bright and summery. Sheila ended the day with a super sharing Assembly.
It sounds as if Grace is coping well with her daily routines, she is such a star!
We are all thinking of you and Grace and can’t wait to have her back at school.
With very best wishes
Jane Kelly
