Hi all,
We’re good here and just sat down watching the t.v. Not sure why as there’s only 1 english speaking channel and loops the same programs all day and then for the rest of the week so we’re now very knowledgeable about cashmere goats from watching it 3 times.
Grace has been full of beans today and has relished the attention of 2 therapist in both her sessions. This afternoons was the most successful if a little giddy. While doing her exercises the therapists keep asking her to lift her head up to which she answered today No! which then set the therapists (only young girls) into fits of laughter which Grace loved. Encouraged by the laughing Grace continued to say no everytime they asked her. You’d think this would get boring quickly but the 3 of them thought it was fantastic, i felt like matron in the corner looking over the top of my book in exasperation.
After therapy we got to speak to Michael and Rose on Skype which is lovely even though it reduces me to tears when we hang up. Rose looked like an angel in the clothes she’d picked out herself but i know very well she is leading Daddy a merry dance. Her behaviour has been affected with us being away and she wont do anything for Daddy and especially hates going to school. She loves Nursery and they spoil her rotten but getting her there is hard work. I’m sure once i’ve been home a week she’ll know how easy life is with Daddy.
Grace had Acupuncture this evening and although she cried she was in no way as bad as last time so i’m going to take it one session at a time and see how it goes. You can see how battered and bruised she is after though.

Dinner tonight was Sweet & Sour pork which was a surprise. When i’ve had it in China before it is totally different to the u.k vinegary version but this was quite similar. It was lovely and nowhere near as overpowering as the ones at home, something i would never order. As usual Grace loved it and ate most of it leaving me to lick the bowl. How she’s so thin and i’m not i don’t know.

Aisling- Dumplings are little packages filled with meat and veggies and then either fried or steamed. They’re a little like Ravioli. If we have any more i’ll take a photo, they look revolting but taste nice. When you next come over we’ll go to china town and i’ll make you eat some. What else are evil stepmothers for!
Uncle Matt- i’m pretty sure they’re nothing like Great nanna’s, no suet and lard here. But the thought made my stomach churn as well and i never had to eat them.
This evening there was another storm but it only lasted about 20minutes. I tried to get a good picture of it but how i thought i’d do that on my little camera? The picture is from our living room window and was a bit rushed just in case the mosquitoes started coming in.

hey
thanks for clearing that up for me but now i’m a bit worried by the vague term of meat!!! I’ll give them a shot any way though!!!
Graces poor legs are a bit ‘bathered’ alright!
Dinner didn’t look half bad too pity you barely get a look in though! Grace must’ve had a great time saying no to the girls but forgets about it when the food is on the go!
The pic of the storm looks mad! it looks like snow!
I bet daddy is reduced to tears too when you hang up trying to figure out what Rose is going to get to next!!!
I’m beginning to think my son is posessed!! we went over to Granny Glavins today and he behaved like an angel and kept going over hugging and kissing Granny and telling her he loved her and he was Granny’s boy but then when she’d say how good he was and why do i ever say he’s hard work, he would throw me a dirty look and hug her again with an evil smile on his face!!!! it was like a scene outta the omen!!! i bet you are thinking twice now about letting us visit!!!
talk soon xxxxx
todays word ‘moiety’
Hi you two,
Sorry about the last short message, laptop with flippin out about something but has calmed down again now.
The photo outside looks great, but Graces poor little legs have seen better days!
Grace must have enjoyed telling the girls ‘no’, at least she is having a laugh with them! You poor thing, you must be so terribly homesick, not long left now and you will be back at the ‘Ranch’ again!
Dinner looks nice, I forgot ‘chinese’ food would be different over. Do you just go to a regular takeaway and its all chinese food or do you go to a Chinese…. Hmmmm….
Just been out spending my birthday money, got myself lots of goodies! I also found out that they sell Miller in drinkstop so got myself some of that too!
Gary is working in North Wales today, camarthan or camarfon or something like that, close to holyhead I think…. anyway, Daddy has being telling him to find some work near ye so he can come up and stay!
No more news, so I will go and will catch up on Monday when we get back from Portsmouth.
Look after yourselves,
Fatty Boom Boom XX
Hiya
19.35
You sound brighter today and the photo’s are coming thick and fast now you have sorted it out. Well done you!
Grace should practice her new word ‘no’ on the acupuncture therapist, poor thing, let’s just hope that it does something good for her. That’s it now then, it’ll be ‘no’ to everything, but excellent news anyway.
Not much news here, picked Rose up from Nursery tonight and she was fast asleep on the sofa when I left her at your house about 7-ish. Bless her, she’s worn out from nursery as she’s not used to being there so much. Rita was asking about you and sends her regards.
Ged is home tomorrow morning around breakfast, we’d better make the most of the day before everything descends into chaos when our visitors arrive in the evening.
We will give you a call on skype tomorrow early evening your time.
Take care
love as always
Mum and Ged
Hi Leanne and Grace,
Sorry I wasn’t online last night. I went out practicing my driving (and terrorising the neighbourhood!).
Poor Grace, your legs are battered but slim and pretty so you have that going for you! At least she didn’t get the calves the 5 of us girls got! You are obviously taking the leg genes from the Noone side of the family.
It sounds like you are both perkier for the home straight. I hope the remaining days and sessions go well. The food sounds good and wholesome and Grace obviously has a healthy appetite so you won’t have to worry on that front. Although she may be demanding trips to Chinatown once she is home for a regular dumpling fix
)
If you would like a chat anytime let me know. I am sure you are drained from the day and making small talk is the last thing on your mind but I could set the webcam up in front of our TV for you and you could watch some new shows with us. A refresher from the cashmere goats
)
Love and hugs to you both,
Orla
today’s word is…… belie!!
Hello you 2….. how are you??? Sorry we’ve not been on line for ages but as you know we moved!! We’re in, OMG never downsizing again!!! Nothing fits – however it’s made Uncle Matt finally get rid of some stuff – phew!!
glad to hear you sounding a bit cheerier, poor Grace & her bruised legs, she’s a tough little star though.
Can’t wait to see you both xx
Lots of love & take care of each other xxx
