Hunter’s 3rd Stem Cell Treatment
January 21st, 2008
Hello, everyone. I am happy to report that Hunter’s 3rd treatment was a success! He did not sleep afterwards so lets hope that he doesn’t get a headache. The doctors came in today and shined a flashlight about 2 feet away and Hunter nearly walked off the bed to get it! So we an only tell from his behaviors since he can’t communicate what he sees. He did walk across the room and get his sippy cup off the dresser, so again thats good news and there is only more improvements to come. There has been a documentary done on ONH kids so if you would like one send your name and address to Kirshner at kirshner@stemcellschina.com and she will ship you one. Hunter’s good and well. He has had no fever so far and his heart rate was good after his 3rd injection, although the IV did not last long. Thanks for all your prayers and remember that Hunter’s next treatment is Friday via IV injections. I will post as the updates and improvements come so until then thanks for the support.

This is so amazing Ashley. I have been following Hunter’s progress through your blog and I will continue to hope and pray for Hunter’s continued progress. You have done a wonderful thing for your son. I work with so many others who I wish could have this opportunity. I am always here if you have questions about preschool for Hunter. I basically advocate for the visually impaired students and make sure they are provided what they need to be successful in the schools. I will do the same for Hunter when he starts preschool. We also can help you with getting Hunter the white cane through our Orientation and Mobility instructor that comes to the county twice a month. Take care and please contact me anytime. You all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so happy to hear that the 3rd treatment was a success. Its always great to get positive updates. Blair, Madlayn and I will have Hunter in our prayers for the next treatment aswell. I had a smile from ear to ear when I read that Hunter walked across the room and got his sippy cup, I take it this is something new? Its a miracle!!!
God Bless
