Had a late night last night, as Cesar & Fabio from Brazil were leaving for home in the early hours. It’s always sad when you have two great characters within a group so closely knit, leave, they brought great humour to the group as well as Fabio lifting me from the limb table as it was little low for Richard. He was built like a Russian shot put thrower and lifted me into my chair like a rag doll. Needless to say I was bleary eyed this morning. Had a great session in rehab where the stakes were now upped with me having to perform exercise for longer together with new targets to reach. I’m finding them extremely challenging but I’m trying my best and I am seeing some pleasing results as small as they may be. I could feel the tension in my face as I focussed hard on the task in hand. One of the small changes is my left hand that has been clenched tight for some time is now free and can flex my fingers a little, and I’m sure it will improve with practice. My energy is still good with no sign of fatigue which is just what I want if I’m to continue with this rigorous regime.

Got a further Stem Cell infusion this afternoon and I can only hope that with time I may see some more positive results and that they continue to grow new myelin sheath around my spinal chord. As the infusion is relatively quick I’m planning going out this evening for a bite to eat. I may even experiment further with some Chinese delicacy! Oh bye the way after much deliberation I’ll be staying a few more days to fit in another spinal injection of Stem Cells, the opportunity was just too good to miss so I’m going for it!

    Nick,

Good to see that things are still progressing well and that you’ve decided to stay for more treatment.
Your words must be an inspiration to many others who are either in treatment or considering it.
Nick, I’ll be arriving in the UK on April 11th and will come to see you.
    Take care.
    Best wishes.
    Paul

    Hi Nick,
We’ve been reading your blog everyday now and it sounds like your making some pretty significant progress. We’re proud of you – just as I’m sure everyone else is.
Think of you often. Keep up the good work.
    Lots of love,
    Gavin & Brittany

Well Nick, you don’t seem to be getting my emails so I thought I would send you a message this way! I have sharpened the lawn mower and ordered the flint for on the drive. My shorts and vest have been pressed and are all ready to don when you get back so I can race you down the road! You never know – you might be asking me for your plumbing tools back now that you have use in your hands again.

Have fun keep smiling and we look forward to seeing you soon!

    Love
