Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Rest assured, we are doing lots of fireworks today in celebration…well Jeff & I personally are not doing it but our Chinese friends have it under control…since 5:00 this morning.
Chinese person’s to do list…
1. Set alarm for 5am
2. Get up and set out fireworks
3. Make hot tea
4. Fireworks ignited by 5:30am
(You get the picture)
Yesterday we went for our farewell pinching and scraping and foot bath and got the best one yet.
Then we walked over to the new restaurant that I had found during the run…the Japanese restaurant. We walked in and discovered that we were walking in the back door of a restaurant that we had entered through the front door 3 1/2 weeks earlier. It happened to be one of the best meals we have had, so we went for it again. It was the Japanese Chef’s tasting menu. The chef cooks for you table-side Benihana style. It was delicious and fun and we got pics with the chef. He was happy to see us upon our return and took good care of us!
We walked home amid the evening fireworks and called it a night with another Steve Martin movie…”All of Me”.
Today Jeff has his last stem cell treatment at 2:30pm. So, I’ll be cooking tonight!
CU Soon!!

Blog’s been blank all day, until just now. Enjoyed the new pictures and the fresh information. Scamper home on those fresh-scraped feet!

Tim won the first quarter,
Nora won the second quarter,
JB won the third quarter, and the final score is still yet to be determined
I wish we had bet on the amount of covers tonight, because I hit it on the nose with 22.
I thought I would catch you up on the gossip, but since you allready know about Kristen’s affair there is not much else to say.
I miss you guys terrbibly. The restaurant is pretty self sufficient, but it is a lot more fun when you are here.
Robert and I have been experimenting with Taco Shack recipes. The habanero honey funnel cake is so good you could easily get a tummy ache eating too much.
I hope your trip home is a little quicker. I can’t wait to see ya’ll.
I was just kidding about Kristen.

Dear Sara and Jeff,
Just a note to tell you the the Steelers won the Superbowl by 4 points. It was very exciting and went down to the last 40 seconds. We wanted the Cardinals to win but that didn’t happen. Glad to hear that you are celebrating with fireworks. It just wouln’t seem right. Love Mary and all

According to the morning paper, Chinese New Year began January 26, and was celebrated Sunday in the parking lot of an Asian (oriental-oriented?) shopping center in north Austin, with drums, gongs, fireworks and 10-foot long dancing dragons. AND, this is the Year of the Ox! Who else would tell you these things?
Nice to know that you can celebrate this time next year, from home-base!

Happy New Year! Somewhere in the world there is celebrating going on… Glad to hear that your trip is winding down. Or maybe not, with Starbucks in the neighborhood. I suggest that you just load up right before you leave and rapidly spin onto the plane – like the whirling dervishes that you are. Have a good trip back home! Love – Laura

Erm, I’m guessing this means that the fireworks celebration we had planned for your return is being canceled? Oh well, we’ll just bang pots-n-pans or something to make like Happy China when you get home;^)
I’ve got one more video for ya…tried to upload it yesterday but no go. I’ll put it up tonite for sure!
Missing you is an understatement. As Kelly said, it’s going well, but it’s a lot more fun when y’all are here!
