Hi everyone…..I hurt and I am tired…..no I am just getting old. My back hurts , my legs hurt and my eyes are sore…those of you over 40 something I am sure you know what I mean. The mind is willing but the body says …NOPE! Perhaps I stayed up a little too late lastnight and woke up a little early. Or maybe the 5 hour walk on top of that added to it. But Am I ever beat. Yep , I’m old. Let me get off that subject. Anyways today I was happy to take Joanne to the Imperial Palace with the help of Jenny , Jason and Carol. I was there once before with Jamie and it is really worth seeing again, especially if history is an interest. The only problem with going through the grounds is it isn’t wheelchair accessible. This means every building ,and there are a lot of them, has stairs, and that requires lifting a wheelchair. Did I mention I am old! It was however worth seeing twice for myself because when you are my age you tend to forget fast!LOL! I hope Joanne,Jason and Jenny enjoyed the history and architecture of the Palace and grounds. I will email out some pictures to everyone… a couple are kinda funny.
Just a note …our friends from the Boston area left for home this morning and that makes Joanne the last North American patient here. There will be no more foreigners coming to this hospital…from now on (as far as I have heard) all foreigners will be going to Bejing or South China.
Just 4 more days to go and we will be leaving for home. Joanne and I are really, really looking forward to it. It will be so nice. Mom I am really looking forward to a home cooked meal Canadian style , when we get there . Maria told me you were making something for us . Yes! All we have to do is get through that long flight home. Did I mention I was old!!! Bye for now ..and I forgot to say 1 more stemcell transplant on Wednesday for Joanne. Hi Dad and Mom. We have been trying you on Skype, but as usual, there is no connection. Glad to hear that Jay and Jenny made it there and that you guys have been getting out. Andrew and I went to grandma’s yesterday for breakfast and some games of crib. She wants me to tell you that she loves and misses you both. She plans to make some pizza’s for when you return home. Loved the pictures of mom’s birthday, she looked so happy! Try to get a massage for yourself and maybe get the young ones to do the lifting so that you can get a break.

Hi Joanne and Brian, yup we all are getting older. Jim has burned himself to a crisp the bone head. Glad to hear Jason and Jenny and you guys are getting out. Before you know it you will be home. Thinking about you guys always. Take care and hope the next stem cell goes well also.

Hi Joanne & Brian ,Well Brian you should listen to your daughter and let the young ones do some lifting for a bit for you ,that’s right we are not getting younger and ( “I am not getting older”,LOL) you need to be kind to you body as it ages, LOL(Really just out of shape,LOL from all that cake and 52% drinks,it is settled in the body now, you will have like lead weights LoL.)Now jokes aside you really need to take care of your self and Joanne will enjoy Jason doing some of that for her to.
Well just think your into Tuesday already and so that means then 3 more sleeps there and you both will be sleeping great on Friday night here at home in your own bed ,and you will have the comfort of your home.
Even though you both will need afew days to get rested up for visitors I’m sure you both will be exhausted for a few days.
So then Wed(Tomorrow for yous) will be Joanne’s last Stemcells injection,will Joanne be getting acupuncture as well and therapy still ?
