Getting out
July 22nd, 2008
Well we all three finally ventured out to the Jimo Market today. It’s about four stories tall with everything you can possibly imagine. They love to bargain there. You will not see prices on anything. You just walk up and say how much. They will punch in a number on a calculator. Then you punch in a counter offer. It just goes back and forth until you both agree. At first it was really weird, but after awhile it’s kinda fun. This pic is all three of us outside the Jimo Market. We figured we’d go out today because Josh has his 2nd spinal injection tomorrow. We’ll be in the room most of the day. We are missing everyone terribly! We are ready to get through this and get back home. It’s neat getting to visit in another country but there’s no place like home. Please pray that Josh’s treatment will go well tomorrow. Josh says tell everyone hi. He enjoys reading all the blogs from everyone. It definately brightens his day. hugs and kisses to everyone

Josh,
I pray every day that all goes well with your treatments and that you get the best possible outcome. Always remember that you are loved and missed by everyone here. Keep having some fun when you can. The pictures are awesome, Melissa, and the blog is so much fun to read. You’re almost halfway there. Won’t be long before you’re back home. G-ma Debbie

hi there – sorry they don’t have those shrimp sandwiches any more – Kacie really liked them. Good to hear you are getting out. What room did they put you in? Is Jack, Wendy and Amanda still there? It is amazing how attached you become to the people that help you so much there. Tell all of them hi for me. It sounds like you may be trying more of the eating places than we were brave enough to try. I know a lot of the others would try a lot of different places and really liked some of them. I will be keeping you all in my prayers and wishing the best for you – especially Josh while he has to lay still for those 6 hours. If I can help in any way – just give me a hollar.
Just remember after the half way mark – it is a downhill run and it will actually go pretty fast so see all you can see. It is a once in a lifetime experience ! ! !
