Josh’s 2nd spinal update

Well, Josh had his 2nd spinal yesterday. It didn’t go very smoothly. He’s doing good today though. It took a little longer than expected. We were getting worried. When they finally brought him back down, Josh said they had a hard time finding the right spot to put the needle and had to poke him several times in the process. Then they hit a nerve that shot pain down his right leg. At one point he said he actually heard like a scraping noise. I had the doctor come by our room to ask him what the problem was. He said that he did hit Josh’s bone at one point but it wouldn’t hurt him in the long run. He said that because Josh is thicker than a lot of the patients here that it is harder to find the right spot to inject him. Apparently, we can expect it to take this long for the next 2 injections also. I wasn’t too thrilled to here about the bone scraping. Hopefully next time they will be more careful. I will definately relay that message. We haven’t got his schedule for next week yet, but we are assuming his next spinal will probably be Monday. We may try and get out a little today. It has been raining almost non-stop for 2 days now. It is very gloomy here 99% of the time. We didn’t realize there were mountains around us for the first 4 or 5 days we were here because of the fog. Some people are talking about going to the mountains with one of the translators to see some of the tourist sites. Today that really doesn’t sound like much fun. I don’t want Josh to overdue it so shortly after a spinal. He is getting acupuncture right now. He’s feeling pretty good except for a little back pain. He has a couple of bruises on his back though. I guess I’ll get off here and go get him. Talk at cha later

Dear Meilissa, Josh, and Wilma,
I have been looking for this blog and finally typed you in on google, you know you’ve hit the big time when you can be googled!!! I was sorry Josh’s treatment was so hard but hopefully the next one will go better. I am keeping you all on my prayer list and hoping that all will go well. oh..Josh that sounds so painful..I feel for you right now..hang in there..not too much longer to go..praying for you that next one will go smoother..hope you get some sunny weather to cheer you guys up..we miss you and love you lots!

Hey! That sucks that things didn’t go very good but hopefully things will go better next time! I miss you guys and can’t wait to see you again! i’m sorry that you can’t find anything good to eat!! when you get home we will make you a lot of good food! I wish things were better for you guys over there and that you guys were having fun! you don’t have much longer over there so time should go by faster hopefully! i’m sorry i haven’t been on here very much writing you guys! I think that kathy is goin to come over tonight so that when she calls you i’ll be able to talk to you!! I miss you guys soo much and can’t wait for you to come home! The babies are doing good! They dance now when you play music! They are both goof balls though! they make me laugh a lot!! because of the stuff that they do! Its really funny! if you get a chance you should get on my myspace and watch the video of tyler on there! it is sooo funny! he is being a big nerd! haha its great! but i guys that i’ll get off here and hopefully get to talk to you on the phone tonight! Hey, Josh…
Grandma Debbie here. Sorry your second injection didn’t go so well. Hopefully the next one will be better. Think about the long term and what you’re hoping and praying will happen. I’m sure that whatever happens, this will make you an even stronger and more compassionate man. I wish the weather was better, your mom sounds a little homesick. I can relate to that. I like going places, but I sure like it when I get back home. It has been really hot and humid here. Not much rain either. Everybody says howdy and are praying that things go well for you. Hello! Couldn’t sleep so i decided to talk to you. I enjoyed our phone call. It’s not quite the same as talking to ya’ll in person but i guess it will work til you get home.LOL! I had to take off work today cuz Jacob was running fever.That sucked. He’s doing better though. I read little Glen’s blog. How terrible! That poor woman.I can’t imagine what they must have been going through. It just makes me so thankful that Josh is okay. There are so many people back here praying for him. That helps a lot. Tell him to hang in there.It’s almost over. Aunt Kat loves him with all her heart and so do Tyler and Jacob.I can’t wait to talk to you all again. I love you all soooo much! Hugs’n'kisses!

Hey! i just wanted to say hey and see what you guys were up to! I looked on my email but i didn’t have anything from you so you should send it again! I hope that you guys had fun the other day when you went on that thing that you told me you were goin to do the other day on the phone! The babies are doin good! Tyler and Jacob are doing good also! they are at my house right now! Tyler is asleep but Jacob is watching a movie! Hiya! I just got off work and wanted to see if you had written or posted anymore pics. I guess i am going to take the boys to see “The Dark Night tonight”.I am taking them to the 10:00 show. Maybe then it won’t be crowded. Surely noone else is crazy enough to go to the movies that late.I hope Josh’s injection goes okay today. We are all praying for him. You should totally send me an e-mail afterwards and let me know something.I love you and miss you all.
