5th injection

August 2nd, 2008

Hey everyone, sorry I haven’t wrote in a few days. It has been very blah around here. We are very homesick and are so ready to come home. We have 10 days left, (not that we’re counting or anything…ha-ha) Anyway, Josh had his 5th injection yest. It was an iv. Everything went fine. We got his schedule today and his last injection, a spinal, is Friday. WOO-HOO! So far, Josh has not showed any improvement at all, but they told us from the beginning to not expect anything for 3 to 6 months. There have been a lot of kids show improvement before they leave here, but they are a lot younger than Josh. They say the younger you are, the better. So we’ll see. If it is meant to happen it will, if not, there is a reason for everything.

I think we may get out tomorrow and do something. You can only stay in this room for so long and the walls start closing in on you. I guess I’ll get off here. Miss everyone!

I’m glad that the end is in sight for you guys. I know that it has been really hard on all of you. Be patient. Maybe it will just take longer for Josh. If there is no improvement, at least you know that you gave it a good try. Melissa, you have helped make him a special young man, no matter what. So many people ask about how Josh is doing in China. Everyone is amazed that there is even something out there to try. I think this has opened a lot of peoples eyes to the whole stem cell process. Hang in there and remember that a whole lot of people are rooting for you, Josh. You are truly loved and admired by so many.
    Love,
    G-ma Debbie
