Heading To China

Kacie is a 9 year old girl from Arkansas. She was born with septo optic displasia. She can only see light and dark with her left eye and her right eye can see some colors or brightly colored objects. Kacie will be heading to China in 2 weeks with her momma and grandma. We will keep you posted on our new adventure.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED US GET HERE !!!

Rinda (Kacie’s Momma)

Hi Rhinda my name is Melba Marroquin and I’m from Houston. I have been emailing Sharran Quick about information on Kacie’s condition. I was very interested because my 22 month old daughter too has SOD. She was diagnosed when she was just 2 months old. And now she has hypothyroidism and growth hormone deficiency, but my Bryanna doesn’t have any vision out of her right eye and extremely near-sighted out of her left eye. I wish everything goes extremely well! Please keep us posted, even time after. Have they told you about any possible side-effects or outcomes that may result in the future? Also, who would you have to come in contact with to gat some information on how to do this procedure???

Best of Luck and Keep your Faith!
    Melba Marroquin

Marinda & Kacie, You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time of great hope. I well remember Kacie in my classroom, she was always a delight to work with as a pre schooler. I have tried to follow her progress since she started elementary school and I had no doubt she would succeed. I know you will be happy when all of your travels are over but look with great hope to the future. I will follow your journey. Ms. Joan
