Kacie gettin her I.V. Stem Cells
Well today was a lazy day. We just hung around the room all day watching movies and reading books. Kacie had her 3rd treatment today. It was an I.V. treatment and it was alot easier than the others. I wish they all were that easy. Since they leave the I.V. in til the next day, we couldn’t leave the hospital. Kacie sure was wanting a shrimp sandwich from KFC. So Grandma went by herself to KFC to get her one. While she was out she also went by the RT Mart and got Kacie some more Evian water. I think grandma is spoiling her just a little. HA HA After we ate supper, grandma and me did our own eye test on Kacie. Its not professional, just me and grandma’s observations. Grandma held up her fingers about 4 inches from Kacies face and ask her to count her fingers. Using both eyes she counted 2 and 4 and got them both right. Using both eyes again we held up a game about 14inces away and asked Kacie what she could see. She said it looks green and it has words and it looks flat. Using just her left eye(the one that could only see light and dark) Kacie could identify the colors red and blue up to 12 inches away. She says she can’t tell what it is she is seeing with that eye, but when you stick something in front of it she notices it.
Kacie’s next treatment will be on Friday and will be a spinal. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Lovin and Missin you all,
Rinda

I am so excited!!! Mom had told me all the good news but today is the first day I got to read your version. I have to tell you it brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad that things are going well and you are getting to see and try so many new things. I love reading Kacie’s version too. The weather is cool, huh? We had another rainyish Memorial Day but we did get some sun. Connor and I swam in the lake on Sat. I, the pregnant, hot one, thought it felt great, but Connor got to shivering. Stacy and Gina who are always cold didn’t even like to get their feet wet. Well, hope everything keeps going well. We miss you guys and are praying for you! I must say Kacie’s shrimp sandwich sounds good to me. Actually, I would probably be okay with the chicken pizza too!! We love you. It won’t be long now until we get to celebrate with a mexican coming home party! See you soon.
Love,
Angie
Good Morning again girls! What beautiful smiles you have today Kacie Wacie! I am so glad that this treatment was just like a walk in the park compared to the other two!!!!! Just think, 2 more and then you will be on your way back home. I’ve been checking out great Mexican recipes for our welcome home party. I’ve even got a fried ice cream recipe that I’ve been reading up on. What tickles your fancy for the party Kacie??????? I’m taking requests.
Today is Grandpa Jake’s birthday and we are planning to cook out on the grill tonight. Yesterday Grandma Betty and I picked cherries and I made a pie to take over there tonight. It was a little tart, but Gina and I like it that way, so our ice cream balances it all out just right! It has been raining hard all morning but we are still hoping that it will clear up long enough to get the food cooked and then it can rain some more. I guess I better get back to working now. Love you and miss you too! To infinity and beyond!!!

You are in our Prayers. Hugs. Ken & Bev.
Wow-what an awesome answer to pray! I am so excited for you! I really enjoy getting to read about your day and all the exciting things happening. My husband, Rob enjoys reading them too. He gets up every morning and comes to the computer to see what’s happening. Then he comes and tells me “You’ve got to come read this”. Sarah Claire, who’s 21 months old now, has learned to say “Kacie prayers”. She’s helping us pray for you too!
Thinking of you guys everyday!
