Today we didn’t go to far. We took a walk in the park that is right here close to the hospital. It is called Century Park. It is the same park that we went to earlier but we went to another part of it that we hadn’t seen. It has a lot of pretty things to see. One of the really neat things is that they are getting ready for the olympics. They are putting together so many different things which makes the park so bright with colors. It is so neat that we are in a town where the sailing part of the olympics are going to be held. Every where you go here it seems they are gettin ready for it. It was nice to get out and I think we walked Kacie’s legs off so maybe she will be ready to spend her day laying around tomorrow evening. She will get her 5th and final treatment some time after noon. She is doing really good and I think I notice little things change here and there.
Well that was our day and now grandma is reading another Little House on the Prairie book. She just loves to listen to those.
Please keep her in your prayers.
Lovin & Missin you all,
Rinda
I loved the pictures from the park. I think that is really awesome that you are seeing things from the olympics. Just think, you could be watching it on TV in Aug. and be able to say, I’ve been there. That is way cool. Let’s see, what has been going on back on our side of the world. Nothing as exciting as over there. It has been VERY humid!!! They expect it will be like this for a while. Sounds like summer is almost here. My cousin Bryan (from the southern state that starts with T–my original posting was rejected becasue it contained that word) came up with his girlfriend, her dad, and her brother over the weekend. He had a little too much to drink and said somethings he shouldn’t have and they left him here. He has been stranded since. Yesterday he booked a flight from LR to Houston for Friday. Stacy is going to give him a ride to the airport. He has been staying with us and hanging out with Robert. Connor is home with the two of them today so I might should be concerned. Connor is still loving going to Miss Rebecca’s school. Yesterday, there was a 5 yr old little girl there and she was telling Connor and Rowan that they needed to go to work. They were playing house and both boys were the “husbands”. Rebecca said the boys just did whatever the little girl told them to do. They also played dress up. When I got there to pick him up, he was walking around in thoes little play high heels. I said, “Wow, bub, nice shoes.” Rebecca said they had all be trading off wearing thoes and Connor had them on since the other kids had left. I told Connor it was a good thing I picked him up and not his Dad. When I told Robert this story, he just said, “Say What!!” Well, that is all I know. You guys have a great day. I hope Kacie’s last treatment goes well. We are missing you all!!
Love you lots,
Angie
Hello again girls! As usual, I absolutely love your pictures! It is so colorful and pretty. Is this all extra to spruce up for the Oplympics or is everything always that colorful???????? I imagine it to be colorful anyway, just a little more glimmer for the special occasion.
I have to say that I found it funny when I scrolled up to look at them once again, that you now had a message about Connor and his new shoes! That is so funny that he was enjoying them so much…… As many shoes as his Auntie Gina and Auntie Stacy leave laying around my house, and we have never played this game before! Now that I know he likes it, maybe we will play that once in a while in between our playing cars!! Ha/Ha
Wow…. It is already the 3rd of June… You will be packing your bags for home pretty soon. Are you going to have room for your treasures you have found that you could not live without in your suitcase? I am sure that Kacie’s china dolls and teaparty stuff will live in her carryon bag to help entertain her on the long long way home. I wish I could get you some new books to listen to also. Kacie Wacie, I think I’ve decided to try my hand with the fried ice cream for our mexican fiesta Welcome Home Party. I do hope that I can make it to suit you. I guess I should have a practice run so I know if I can do it OK or not before you get back. Anyway, you can bet that we will all be singing the “all your bags are packed, your ready to go” song with you on the 8th.
I guess I need to get busy girls. I will be thinking of our brave Kacie and her brave Mom and Grandma while you have your one last treatment tomorrow and praying it won’t be too bad. Love you to infinity and beyond!!!
Aunt Sandy
Kacie, I loved the pictures of you in the park. I think it is so exciting that you are walking around where Olympians will be walking. We will all watch for the things you have taken pictures of and saying, our Kacie was in that very place!!
I am so glad that tomorrow is your last treatment. It will be behind you before you know it. Granny and Pa are so very proud of our little girl. You are the bravest girl in the world. 4 more days until I get to give you the biggest hug ever!!
I love you so much
