Hooking up at the pump….

December 1st, 2008

Friday, November 28th

Today is a normal day of physio and docs visits.  Kevin is very tired today and will go lightly with the physio.  He feels like he is worse than when he arrived…..several patients came to visit him this morning just to let him know that feeling like a mac truck ran over him, is normal and expected but will get better. I can tell him all I want but when it comes out of a mouth going through the same things, it means more….no offence intended or taken.

Much to Kevin’s delight, there was no accupuncture today!  I knew that by looking at the schedule but I said nothing….it’s a much nicer surprise when Andy comes in and tells him…….No, none today, you rest…..perfect….Mr. Jones is a happy camper now……but it’s time for another stem cell treatment, dear…..Catherine has come to get you…..”Keveen, you no be late, come now”….yes, yes, Catherine, it’s a date!….start without me! ha……..he enjoys getting the stem cell treatments by IV as  it is as easy as sitting in the lazy-boy smilin’ and chattin’ up the nurses and other patients who all just happen to be female……

Half way through the drip, in walks Casey….Hiya bigga baby!  Hey, Casey…..Kitty is also in the room hooking up bags of juice…..picture time!

Kevin slept for a couple of hours in the afternoon and we had a light supper. We called it an early night with a bit of room visiting and planning a shopping outing for tomorrow….looks like we have the weekend off again….yabadabado…..

Hi Folks! Sorry I haven’t written before, but be assured that I’ve been thinking about you, and your blog has been keeping me both informed and entertained! We had a club meeting last night, and many people were asking about you. I gave them an update and told them to check out the blog themselves. George and Patsy made a surprise apppearance there too….they were in town for Christmas shopping.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon, and wishing you all the best.

    Hi guys:
Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well. By now I hope things are OK. There is light at the end jof the tunnel, just a couple of weeks to go. I printed off some of the previous blogs and took them to Mark. He felt low after reading them as he would liked to have been there by now for his treatment. I hope he has a chance to talk with you when you arrive home.
Take care and thanks for keeping us posted on your progress.

    Hi guys!

Glad to hear that the IV treatment went well and that there are smiles on the faces in the pictures. I can imagine that the nurses will miss your smilin’ face Kev when you jump on that plane home to good ol’ PEI.

Tracy, you’ve been an inspiration to us and it is so nice that you keep so positive and keep us all posted on the happenings.

I didn’t get on the computer yesterday so these greetings are a day late. (Does that make it two days for you two or does that mean that we are caught up?)

MS Christmas Party is on the 17th at 6:30pm at PE Home…Do you suppose the two of you can make it???…M

    Hi Kev
We really appreciate this blog. We must have most of the people that have computers going to it. Sounds like things are going well and we are looking for your safe arrival back on the island.
