March 21st, 2010

Yesterday I had a free day with no therapy and no treatment. We went to Polar Ocean World and we saw polar bears, sharks, fish, dolphins, giant turtles, seals, eels and penguins. We also saw a seal and dolphin show and if the dolphins did what they were meant to do properly, they would get a fish as a treat. The dolphin took the man back and forth across the pool on his nose. Also the dolphins jumped very high out of the water and everyone clapped! After that we went to KFC and had lunch. Then we came back to the hospital.

Then my mum and I went shopping so I could spend my tooth fairy money and I got some m&m’s and a Hello Kitty container with some soap flakes in it. What you do with it, is you put some soap flakes on your hands, then put a bit of water with it and rub your hands until you can’t see the flakes anymore. Rub your hands under the water until they smell as good as new!

    Dear Leilani,
We hope everything is going ok for you. We think of you and Moana everyday. You are a brave girl with all that you’re doing.
We’re glad that you’re able to do fun things like seeing the dolphins and the other fish and going to restaurants.
Keep being happy, We’ll keep thinking of you.

    Hi again,
You’re a lucky girl… I was just thinking the other day that it would be cool to go to the zoo or the aquarium and see some animals. I haven’t been for years.
The dolphins sound like they were pretty tricky! Do you think you could carry someone on your nose accross the pool? haha
    Talk to you later,
    Jodi

    Hi gorgeous girl

I have been reading all of your entries and love reading about what you are doing. I will try and get Zara and Ethan on to read them as I seem to be on here when they are at school or in bed sleeping.
How exciting to go see all the animals. Zara recently went to Ocean World in Manly. So you girls will have lots to talk about when you get home. Plus they even had mermaids there for Zara to swim with!
I have been thinking of you with all your needles. Do you want to know why?…. I have been getting needles too! I have injured my arm pretty badly and the Doctor has been giving me accupunture. It is almost fixed! YAY!
    Keep smiling gorgeous girl.
    Love you lots…
    Shan

    Hi Leilani,

I’m so happy to read about the exciting things you have been doing lately. I hope these good times help you to forget the needles. I agree with everybody else.. you two girls are so brave. It’s almost Easter and we are getting things ready for the Easter hat parade. We’ll take lots of photos so you can see what we did. Its been quite hot here almost every day. Summer just keeps going and going. I suppose you are all getting used to the cold weather in China now. Don’t forget to keep those slippers on your feet.

    Love to you

    Mrs Ploeg
