howdy, well # 7 is here this A.M. it`s by IV, the one nice thing about the IV method is i don`t have to lay still for 6 hrs. only 2 more left to go!!! then it`s time to go home(yipee). i`m gettin` home sick bad. i have # 8 by lumbar FRI. & the last one next WED. before we leave on THURS. nee ha, number six went well. my right leg jerked during the procedure like i was hit with a reflex hammer, no pain, but it startled me a little. Dr. said that was normal & nothing to worry about. not much else shakin the rest of the week, just PT & stuff. Angie & Andra(Drew`s sis) went out while took my six hr nap yesterday. they went to a mall & did some shoppin`. they took a rickshaw again. she got her grand-daughter & her daughters a little something. i`m glad Angie found a buddy to play with. well i`m off to PT now, bye-bye til next time. peace from the far east!!! love, Lenny & Angie

good early morning, they switched my SCT time to 10:30am instead of my usual afternoon schedule. we had to get up extra early today(6:00am), i don`t mind it , but it`s harder on Angie, she likes to sleep late. i can`t eat 2 hrs. before the procedure & i always shower on SCT day, so we had to get up & get goin. it takes a little over an hour for my food to drip. it might make it easier to lay down afterwards, since i got up earlier. my next SCT will be by IV method & my last two, (the ones i traded for my BMT) will given one by each method. i feel better today, i felt kinda run down after running around w/Drew for two days. i took a long nap yesterday, i really needed it. only three more SCT`s after today, hard to believe it!!! well. . . . i guess that`s all i got for now. ttys, love Lenny & Angie

hi everybody, well. . . . SCT #6 is tomorrow (Wednesday for us) & i look for a smooth procedure just like the last 5 have been. it`s getting a bit cooler here, but nothin` like Illinois this time of year. Drew & his sister Andra invited us to go with them last night to an open market. it was set-up in the streets, there were all kinds of things for sale, purses, clothes, trinkets, jewelry & more. we had lots of fun & took some pic`s there too. you could bargain for your prices(i like that). i got the grandbabies something & i can`t wait to give it to them! we had the same driver as we did for our safari trip, he`s very good. i`m glad to hear Obama is already talkin` bout stem cells, that`s encouraging news for sure!!! Angie & Drew`s sister seem to hit it off well, i`m glad for that, someone you can trust to vent to is always good, plus it helps that they are in the same boat. i feel kinda tired from running around the last 2 days. i`ll get some rest tonight, maybe watch a movie. good morning, we had a great time yesterday at the safari!!! the weather was perfect & we had good company, our driver was very good & helpful too. it`ll be disappointing to go to the St. Louis zoo now, after goin there. we were able to get much much closer to the animals & you could feed just about all of them. they had bowls of raw meat for sale at most sites or tree branches, or whatever that particular animal ate. someone through a live chicken to the lions, what a sight that was, like watching wild kingdom on TV. also we saw a show at the end, it was kinda like a circus, trick horse riding, bears dancing over fire, monkeys riding bikes & more. we took lots of pic`s. it was nice to go with Drew & his sister Andra, we got to talk quite a bit on the drive there & back. we went in a small VW Jetta, so it was cozy. Drew leaves one week before we do, we`ll get home late thanksgiving night. i have one SCT scheduled for Wednesday this week & it`s the lumbar method. the rest of the week is PT, massage, wave therapy, & acupuncture. i`m kinda tired & sore today after our safari, but i`ll work out the kinks in PT comin` up at 9:30. i better wrap it up for now. we`ll talk soon. love L & A

peace from the far east, well the weather man was right, it`s sunny & nice. we have plans to go on a safari w/Drew & his sister. it`s about an hr. away & we`ll spend the day there, sounds like fun!!! a driver from the hospital is taking us, so no problems with language barrier. we`ll take lots of pic`s too. we`re leavin` at 10:00am so i better get goin for now. i`ll tell you all about it later. love L & A

nee ha, well, we`ve reached the 1/2 way point. . . . only 20 days til we leave. my SCT went very well yesterday. the hardest part for me is lying down for six hrs post treatment. nothing really goin on today, just a little R & R. we made the transaction for my extra two SCT`s, they will be the last ones i receive & they`ll be given to me one by each method ( IV & lumbar ). it`s raining again here or should i say still raining. hopefully it clears up for tomorrow, either way we`re gettin out for a while. Angie went to the grocery store with Drew`s sister yesterday & what an experience that was, she said there were ducks hanging from the ceiling, they were cooked , but still had the head & feet attached also there were fish tanks with eels & giant goldfish. it was very large & had two stories complete with an escalator. i wish she would have taken the camera, maybe she`ll go back & take some pic`s. for you. no schedule for next week yet, but i`ll let you know more when i get it. so long for now. love Lenny & Angie

nee ha, SCT #5 today, hard to believe it`s been that many already! looks like Sunday is our pick day of the weekend, it`s supposed to be sunny & in the 60`s.thanks again for all your comments, we love reading them! it`s raining now & very foggy, we can barely see the ground from our window. the people here are wearing coats, it`s their winter & they look at me like i`m nuts cause i wear shorts all the time. congratulations to Angie`s sister Christy on becoming a grandma! good morning, well Obama did it. . . .hopefully his fresh ideas & youth will turn our country in a better direction & win back the respect of the rest of the world that Bush destroyed for us. enough politics. . . . my SCT#5 is tomorrow afternoon, they seem to be flyin` by now. i`ve gotten all my funds for the extra two SCT`s , it took a few trips to the ATM. my therapist told us about a trip to the mountains & asked if we might like to go, but my Dr`s advised me not to go, they said it is a two day trip & could be a little too much for me. i`d have to have the Bipap machine with me & bla. . bla. . bla. . so we`re goin to look at taking a shorter day trip this weekend, possibly to the zoo or a countryside drive, this should be no problem, as long as you have have the cash for it. just pluggin` away with PT, massage, & acupuncture for now. i`ve kinda got a routine established, that`s nice, it helps the time pass more quickly for me. i feel lucky to have Angie, she`s a big help!!! hello again, well, it`s here. . . . the day we`ve all been waiting for, ELECTION DAY AT LAST!!!. i don`t care who wins, i`m just glad that dumb ass Bush is on his way out the door. whoever wins will have alot of work rebuilding our country`s reputation, at home as well as around the world. for what ever it`s worth, Obama seems to be the favorite here in China. there`s good coverage on cnn.com so i`m keepin` up with the results. OK now, back to me. . . . i feel a little stronger the following day of my SCT,but it seems to fade in a couple days. the Dr. says this is normal & i will feel the peak effects in about 3 mo.`s & they should last for about 6 mo.`s, but everyones body is different & there are no guarantees. still i am optimistic about them, i believe attitude plays a big role in your health. think positive & don`t get discouraged, it`ll take as long to rebuild my muscles as it did for them to deteriorate i plan to keep exercising after we get home too. i want to give myself the best chance i can. good-bye for now. ttys love Lenny & Angie
