Cheese please

April 27th, 2007

Well so far China has been a fasinating experience, except for one thing…… the lack of cheese here is ridiculous. If I had known of this unfortunate fact I would have packed an entire suitcase full of it cause there is no such thing as too much cheese. My dad….god love him…..went on a scavenger hunt and managed to find some kraft slices, still different, but at this point I’d eat anything that even claim to be cheese. Curto stock the fridge on May 20th with some cracker barrel old please, I going to make up for lost time.

Just thought I’d quickly express my cheese envy

I’ll write again soon

Leslie, you have to be one of the strongest people I’ve ever known in my life but I’m starting to think your one of the funniest too. I was so interested in your blog that when I started reading about the cheese I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants :) I’m so excited for you and this whole process and I’m pretty well glued to your blog. Me and Mike are saving for a trip up to Ontario this summer I can’t wait to see you so you can tell me all about this experience. Good luck with everything and know that we’ll be thinking of you every day that your in China.

Thats terrible Leslie! That might be the worst thing I have ever heard! Schedule your next one in the netherlands, and sneak me back some cheese in your suitcase!

Um, you might not want to eat anything that ‘claims’ to be cheese!

    Hi Leslie,
You don’t know me (you might remember Lisa our daughter) but Rick and I are members at Trafalgar Golf Club. Bob B. has kept us updated on your progress since you went to China and we are very very hopeful that these treatments will help you!

I’m also writing to tell you about cheese….you’re not going to want to hear this! I used to have bladder infections ALL the time from about my early twenties until about 8 years ago. (I’m really old now!!!!) I’d have a bladder infection 3-4 or more times a year and it seemed to be getting worse as I got older. I started watching what I was eating and discovered that cheese seemed to be the culprit! I couldn’t believe it and thought I was wrong but when I had cheese the pressure feelings of the beginning of an infection would reappear. So, I’ve stopped eating cheddar cheese totally and I now have lactose free cheese and Brie seems to be ok but I only have some in moderation. (once or twice a week).

I’m wondering if you haven’t had a bladder infection in China because you haven’t had the opportunity to eat cheese? You’ll probably just want to forget this message and delete it away! But it is something to think about!!
Wishing you all the best and Lisa sends good wishes to you from Golden B.C. too.

Hmmmm, no cheese, means no cows. No cows means no milk. No milk means no ice cream. I hope those shots in the butt don’t hurt as much as that new discovery.
