Day 34…. 8 stem cell transfers down 1 to go!

- Resting after stem cell transfer 8
Hello our long lost family and friends;
This AM they came in to take London’s blood for testing and couldn’t find a good vein so that didn’t happen. Tonight we completed stem cell transfer number 8 by lumbar and only 1 left on Friday. We were anticipating how today’s transfer would go since the last one failed and we did the IV transfer instead. Tonight they gave London hydrochloride in her bum and she fell fast asleep. 15 minutes later her stem cell transfer was done and she was back in the room. This was the best lumbar so far and now she is resting. She has to stay down for 6 hours and right now it’s been 2 hours and she is starting to stir a little bit but is okay.
Nothing else went on today, just played with London listened to music tried our hand at Origami’s we were given as a wonderful belated Christmas gift and watched some DVD’s. Tomorrow we will be back on our usual therapy schedule and they also need sometime this week to try and get her blood work done again they will check it more thoroughly this time looking at kidney function and other body functions before we head back to the states.

Ruby, Jessie and London,
We’ve been reading your blogs every day and are so glad you will be home soon. We’ve missed you! London is certainly a little trooper to have undergone everything she’s endured the past month. She looks so much older than when she left the states. The pictures you have posted have been great.

I was thinking the same thing about the change in London. It’s as if she’s growing before our eyes!
