Week 2

January 27th, 2008

 Happy Australia Day!

Firstly Thankyou to everyone for their kind messages.

It’s my day off today (Sunday). The last week has been good, busy but good. I saw snow for the first time earlier this week, needless to say it’s freezing outside. I’ve now had 3 stem cell treatments, the most recent one I had was on Wednesday and I have 3 more to go. I haven’t noticed any more movement yet but my temperature regulator is working better, which means I’m not cold all the time. I’ve been told that it is usually 2-4 months until the stem cells start working so it’s exciting to see results already. The only bad news is the hospital said no drinking for 6 months…meh, no biggy.

It’s is great having Deb and my older brother here, could not have done it without them. It’s was fun bickering with a different family member than normal, then joking with Deb when we get bored with that. Captain W (Dad) arrived on Thursday so now we are all on our best behaviour :) My helper Mr Lil has been teaching me Chinese and since dad got here Mr Lil has been treating Dad like royalty. Bad news for Shane who has been relagated to mere human and head chef.

Have to go, George from Tasmania is having a farewell but here is the view from my room.
