” I’ll have the pizza with a side of Stem Cells….”
March 6th, 2007
Ok, one down and three more to go! So far so good. The procedure was quite painful for Michelle but she’s a fighter! She tolerated the 6 hours of laying flat very well. She was in a lot of pain last night and had trouble resting. Despite that she awoke this morning feeling better than ever! She has SO much energy it’s amazing! She is currently feeling no numbness in her legs and she is feeling more sensation and her reflexes have improved slightly. The doctors were very impressed with how much better she is walking and standing. This is SO inspiring for her! She is feeling more confident with making the choice to come to China. I’m sorry you guys are missing how incredible she is doing! Just seeing how excited and energized she is it’s amazing! I have only had the pleasure of knowing her for a year, but I am telling you guys that seeing her today and how well she is feeling it just melts my heart!! I will be writing another blog later on tonight letting everyone know how she is feeling later and how crazy our day in town was! Seriously it is never a dull experience when we leave the hospital nor is it ever a dull experience with Michelle! LOL! Oh before I go I have to tell you about our food experiences yesterday! Because Michelle’s schedule was so packed yesterday we decided to order in and let me tell you trying to get food was an experience! We ordered this pizza from a Chinese restaraunt and it didn’t look that weird but, it wasn’t very tasty! Mine was ok it had peppers and onions on it with what I hope was ham but it had no sauce and was so greasy! Michelle’s was not too tasty either. It had all this meat on it and had a funny smell and was just plain weird. They sent us this crazy looking soup (if you want to call it that) with really weird meat that looked like brain particles in it…..ewww! Anyone that knows me knows that I will try anything once but, I drew the line when it came to the soup! Then Once she was permitted to eat and drink we decided to take what we thought was a safe bet as far as restaraunts go and order from Pizza Hut. We ordered a 12-inch pepperoni pizza with extra sauce on it. We got a 12-inch with ham, pepperoni, sausage, and some kind of deepfried meat and our extra sauce was packets of Heinz ketchup! I think what we have here is a failure to communicate! LOL Needless to say I got on the phone with Pizza Hut and talked to someone who barely spoke english but, ended up getting the right pizza finally 3 hours later! So we are definitely going out for lunch today. We aren’t taking any chances!

You are both brave souls for eating those pizzas. I don’t go for anything I can’t identify.
Just wanted Michelle to know you are in our prayer daily and your little girl is doing great!!!
God Bless

I am so glad to hear that Michelle is handling it like a champ! Although, I don’t expect anything less from her! She is an amazing person! Elizabeth thank you so much for going with her. Tammy I agree with you- I can’t wait to see Michelle walk in heels!!! Lots of love and prayers!!!

Yeah, so you use WAY too many exclamation marks in said blog.
Otherwise, the news is just plain incredible. I am so happy to here how well Michelle is doing. If the change is this big after just one treatment, I can’t wait to see how she will be after she has completed all of the treatments! (See, you really only need one per paragraph) Dad says he loves and misses you. I miss you too, I walked into the office today, and I must say that it seemed very empty without you here. I can’t wait to see you guys at the end of this month. Keep blogging to let us know how she is doing and we’ll keep reading. Love you sis.
P.S. although i’ll still read the blogs, cut down on those exclamation marks.

Michelle I’ve been praying for you and this good news, keep it up trooper. Gradys surgery went good and he no longer has pain in his leg. I’ll try and check with Maria tomorrow, but since I haven’t had any sleep in two nights I might not make it there.
