March 25th, 2010

It was Tynisha’s birthday yesterday. Mum and Dad ordered her a gigantic chocolate birthday cake with a dog, flowers and fruit on top. She had a special flower candle that played “Happy Birthday to You” when it was lit and the flower petals opened up and each petal had a little candle on it. Lots of families, translators, nurses, therapists, and other hospital workers all gethered in the common area to sing to Tynisha and have some cake (but my therapist missed out!).

Tynisha got a little chocolate mouse off the German family and we gave her a tea set and magnetic dress up bears.

We went to the Powerland fun park. I went on the merry-go-round twice, bumper cars and swinning chairs. The swinging chairs were my favourite because it reminded me of the underground revine in Harry Potter and the wind rushed passed, funny huh!?!

We went to a restuarant for dinner. I ordered a chicken schnitzel, yum! I had ice cream for dessert. Tracy and Connor, friends from the hospital came with us. It was a ‘magnifabulosimo’ day (I got that word from the story book, called The Magic Dictionary!)

Hi Moana from all the children in 1/2T

It’s Katie here. I hope you are having a lot of fun on your trip.

Hi Moana. It’s Matilda here. I hope you are not having too much pain.

Hi Moana.I’ve just had my photo taken for SRC and Green Team. Yesterday the whole class had their photo taken. We missed you being in the photo. I am about to go to Hawks Nest .

It’s Paris here. hi moana I cant wait to see you .

Hi Moana. It’s Mrs Taylor. We are in the computer room and I have been reading all your blogs to the children. We miss you and hope to see you soon. We are getting ready for the Easter Parade. We have been learning Easter songs and decorating our room. After the parade we will have 2 weeks of holidays. It has been very warm in Baulkham Hills. Today it is 30 degrees. We hope it is a little buit cooler next week so that the heat doesn’t melt the Easter bunny’s eggs!

A big hello to all your family from all of us.

    Bye for now,
    Mrs Taylor and 1/2T.

Hi Moana, it’s Mrs Feeney. Like you, I love fun park rides and swinging chairs. I know that scene in Harry Potter that the ride reminded you of. I also love merry-grounds, except that sometimes they make you giddy and a bit wobbly.

I can’t believe it’s nearly Easter. I love Easter and watching my children hunt for Easter eggs left by the Easter bunny in our backyard. I hope the Easter bunny knows you and your family are in China so that he knows where to leave eggs for you and your sisters.

I am looking forward to talking to you soon when you come back to school. I wish you and your family a very Happy Easter!

    Mrs Feeney

    Hi Moanna,

I’ve been missing in action for a few days.. sorry. Things got terribly busy around here. I love to take my children to fun parks and watch them go on rides. I love to watch them laugh and sometimes scream. I have never enjoyed going on them myself. But Mr Ploeg and my boys in recent years have begun to insist that i go on these and i find myself unable to get out of it. I end up with my eyes closed tightly, screaming at the top of my lungs, squeezing very hard onto the hand of whoever is sitting next to me .

Easter is almost here. At school we are getting ready for the Easter hat parade. The Easter bunny is due to visit and leave behind some yummy treats! I hope s/he finds you in China (i’m sure he will) and leaves behind some treats for the whole family.

    Love to you

    Mrs Ploeg
