Merry Christmas!!

December 25th, 2007

It’s Christmas day here now…and by the time ya’ll get this it will be Christmas morning. I got Stem Cell injection number 4 yesterday and all went well. I did get in a little quarl with the nurses about my time “flat”. I let them know they needed to go to the US to learn some math because they were trying to make me lay down for longer than my 4 hours. Needless to say, I was a little upset because it’s hard for me to lay down that long.  I did not feel all the acupuncture needles yesterday, but it may also be because I needed to be suctioned at the same time. I had to choose one or the other because the guy that does the acupuncture doesn’t stick around very long.  I did, however, feel my stem cell injection. And once again, I was up all night full of energy ready to talk!! But finally, I made it to sleep…

I woke up this morning to Chicken Little telling me “Merry Christmas!” Julie, the PT got me a card and a bag of candy for Christmas. Floor 10 is having a Christmas party this afternoon for all the stem cell patients. I think it’s suppose to start around 5:00.  Lucy is suppose to be bringing me a bottle of wine and I’m pretty sure the family from TN have a bottle of Jack Daniels to celebrate with. Either way I’m ready to have a drink! I think there’s also going to be karaoke machines and we all know how well they go together! Christmas here is not as big of a deal as it is at home, but everybody has been telling me “Merry Christmas” and they all seem in good spirits. I have 2 presents that I haven’t opened yet, but I’ll be sure to get around to that here in a little bit. The PT told me he could feel a difference in my arms and legs. I always try to do everything he does so I’m pretty sure I’m getting more muscle tone. I know my arms are getting stronger because I hit myself in the eye yesterday! I appreciate each and every one of you checking my blog and leaving me comments. It makes me very happy to read them. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! I love and miss each and every one of you. Hope ya’ll are all preparing for the BIG party when I get home!!

Nut

p.s. I’ll be sure to let you know how the Christmas party goes here in China!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
I am glad everything is going well and you could feel that injection! NO SNOW for Christmas! Send me some! The Christmas party sounds like fun! Watch out for any Chinese jui or Maotai. HA! Just make sure you limit yourself! We don’t need you in China popping wheelies, huh!
And just think…Chicken Little was the one to wake you up saying, “Merry Christmas” this morning! It’s good that your muscle tone is better! Just don’t get any black eyes while over there.
Keep doing whatever they say and get stronger. I will be praying for you many times today. You keep praying, too.

Merry Christmas!!!!! I am enjoying a break from the noise at my house. My Middle son Robert Del got a drum set from Santa and has been playing it since 8:00am it is now 6:40pm and I have a smashing headache. You have been in my thoughts all day. I pray this will be a CHRISTmas filled with many new blessings. You are such a brave young man. I know your friends miss you so much. I too plan to make it to see you when you return. You might want to pray for Clayton. I have a feeling he will not get any sleep for awhile. Rachel has a better helper than I did. I was the one to get up with my boys when they were born. I hope you and Lucy have fun at the party. Let us know what songs you sing. Merry Christmas
    Julie

Nut, I’m a friend of Claudia Davis and she told me about you and your history concerning your condition and how you arrive in China. Oh My name is Jean Doyle. I have been reading your journal almost everyday and I’m so excited about your progress and love all the antidotes and daily discriptions about your activities. I have been under going acupuncture and my Dr is Chinese and I have copied your progress and she reads them also. The same week Claudia told me about you another friend of mind told me about a young man who is in India for a parcel liver transplant. He had been on a waiting list and he had gotten worse plus US,doesnt do many parcel transplants plus it is less expensive to go to India. He has the transplant and so far doing well. Better close but wanted to say hi. Does your friend Chris have a jounal? How be nice to Chicken Little-LOL he looks rather stern in his pictures, does he smile? jean

    Hi Chris,
I’m so glad and thankful that you are still doing good and in good spirits. You and Brandon has amazed me,you both remain with high hopes and your accidents hasn’t got you all down.I think that is so cool because so many young people give up or turn to drugs for depression. You will never know how proud I am of you all. I sure hope your Christmas party went well,I know it don’t compare to the party you could have at home with all your family and friends.Knowing your mom,you will have many more presents to open when you get home.We all had a good Christmas and lots of Tennessee home cooking,of course we all eat too much, but that goes with it!!!!You look good and healthy in all your pictures.Keep up the hard work and try to endure Chicken Little just a little longer and you will be home, looking forward to seeing you.Your still in our thoughts and prayers.hurry and come home.Miss you. Here’s one to make you laugh buddy. I was watching The Christmas Story last night…the one where the kid licks the flag pole and gets the bb gun… When it got to the part where they went to the Chinese Restaurant for Christmas dinner, I just about got in the floor laughing and thinking about you at the Christmas party over there. There were some Chinese waiters singing carols to the people in the restaurant on the movie… Fra ra ra ra ra…ra ra ra ra. Hysterical…

See you soon, guy. Keep up the hard work.

  • 19. Brandi  |  December 26th, 2007 at 10:50 pm

DO Y’ALL THINK JULIE KIDNAPED HIM??? I WONDER WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE NUT???

  • 22. brandy mccartney  |  December 27th, 2007 at 3:35 am

lol, i agree rev. i think he is M.I.A. today. Well Chris it was a good Christmas here, nice weather, but to nice for any real good duck hunting i hear. I had you on my mind all weekend and through Christmas, all i could think about was going to your mom’s eating some Christams dinner, and crashing on the couch, just like our Christmas’s before.
I am so glad to hear that you are still doing good, and that your time over sea’s is coming to an end, I hope to see you back here, and as in as good as spirits as you are there. I think you should bring “Chicken Little” back here with you for a few days so he can get a taste of some Tenn. pride, and so we all can shake his hand and hug his neck.
Well get back home soon. Wel miss and Love you very much.

    Brandy McC.

Thought I would take this quiet time since my appointment canceled and post my Christmas wish to you. Yes Christmas wish. Christmas because that is what I do. The reason for the season as it relates to me is Christs birth. So to those that come here faithfully occasionally or if this is your first time I wish you Merry Christmas..Im not hear to reform you or change your views on this. I know you may have beliefs that differs from mine you may be Jewish Hindu or maybe you dont believe in anything particular. I dont want to offend anyone here I only wish to spread goodwill from my view..Christmas means so much to me as a believer as it is a reminder that I am not alone and God cares for me..In my quiet moment here I think of the reason for the season in my life and I wonder how it was 2000 years ago for a young girl who was pregnant to give birth to a child in a manger. I would imagine she felt scared and possibly abandoned and alone..I am convinced there are those out there this Christmas that feel scared abandoned and alone and relate to what Mary might have been feeling. I dont know of anyone that has not been touched by some difficult times here in the past year for one reason or another myself included..This time of year we should be filled with joy and thanksgiving however with all the bailouts going on people have lost their jobs or even their homes seems we have a reason to feeling scared. .But it is my view that we can turn our thoughts from the bailouts to a bail-in. Whatever it is that you believe whether it be God Buddha or a higher power within yourself or if it is the strength you get from others jump into it with all you got with no reserves. For it is faith that this too shall pass and we are not alone that we can over come difficulties that life throws at us..So accept a sincere Merry Christmas from me as it comes from the bottom of my heart. That is my view Id love to hear yours.. .Nannette Turner Saunders Associate Broker.Short Sales Coordinator.Keller Williams Realty.1709 Laskin Road.Virginia Beach Va.. Thank you…..and Merry Christmas to you and I know that you just have to be one of the special ones that God watches over.

Twas the month before Christmas When all through our land Not a Christian was praying Nor taking a stand. See the PC Police had taken away The reason for Christmas – no one could say. The children were told by their schools not to sing About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things. It might hurt peoples feelings the teachers would say December 25th is just a Holiday . Yet the shoppers were ready with cash checks and credit Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it! CDs from Madonna an X BOX an I-pod Something was changing something quite odd! Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa In hopes to sell books by Franken Fonda. As Targets were hanging their trees upside down At Lowes the word Christmas – was no where to be found. At K-Mart and Staples and Pennys and Sears You wont hear the word Christmas it wont touch your ears. Inclusive sensitive Di-ver-si-ty Are words that were used to intimidate me. Now Daschle Now Darden Now Sharpton Wolf Blitzen On Boxer on Rather on Kerry on Clinton ! At the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter To eliminate Jesus in all public matter. And we spoke not a word as they took away our faith Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded The reason for the season stopped before it started. So as you celebrate Winter Break under your Dream Tree Sipping your Starbucks listen to me. Choose your words carefully choose what you say Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS not Happy Holiday ! Please all Christians join together andwish everyone you meetMERRY CHRISTMASChrist is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!Dear Mister Grim Reaper So far this year you have taken away my favorite dancer and entertainer Michael Jackson favorite actor Patrick Swayze and favorite actress Farrah Fawcett. Thank you The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a NativityScene in the United States Capitol this Christmas season. This isnt for any religious reason.
