yes i missed writing yesterdays blog, rachel had rehab in the morning which was not as good as she would have liked. following a bad nights sleep she was very lethargic and struggled with some of the execises that had went very well the day before. the stem cells arrived late to the hospital yesterday so it was after 5 pm when rachel got back to the room. i would normally write the blog on her return whilst she was asleep, but yesterday she did not sleep for the 5 hours lying on her back after the spinal injection so did not stay away long.
this morning she woke up very sore (as usual after a spinal injection) and a mild headache. she went down to do OT but was feeling worse by the minute and was scaring the nurses with how pale she was. looking like death warmed up we came back to the room and she had a shot in the bum for her headache and slept for a few hours. hopefully the afternoon is better for her.
After the injections any quick movements like laughing, coughing etc give her a sharpe pain up her back and into her head. so i am on strict instructions not to say anything funny or make her laugh (now this is hard because you know that i am a pretty funny bloke) so i will be in my shell today but ready to go tomorrow.

Hope you have woken up today feeling somewhat less sore Rachel – would be hard for Gary to keep up the straight dialogue for too long – not too much longer to go over there now – most of the hard yards are done (at least with the doctors) – now there’s this gym waiting at home and I know how determined you’ll be to put it to good use. We admire and support you and will be here to annoy you when you get home. As Kate says – it has been hot- but all still appears to be okay at home – haven’t lost any animals on you yet. Jim had a phone call yesterday Gary from Jeremy re a tank – not sure of the outcome there but Jeremy was going to try to contact you. Have had the kids for a couple of days and they missed not visiting Harry – we are all looking forward to seeing you soon. Take care and God bless Lauraine.

hi I’m really sorry the spinal didint go so well I hope your feeling much better today. We are really missing the boys Amelia asks about them at least ten times a day. well, not long now we can’t wait to see you so we are planning to visit not long after you come home. I really hope you feel even so far it has all been worth it we are all very proud I only wish I could have been there with you. luv kel,jas & Amelia
