Saturday 21st June – Lynda

June 21st, 2008

Hi all,  This is my first time so you will have to be kind to me. Terry still isn’t feeling too good, he say’s he’s better in the morning but he has been told to rest.  He had a fall yesterday but he did’t hurt himself, he had to go for a scan of his bladder this morning and a test to make sure he has’nt got a water infection but we haven’t had the results yet, will let you all know once we get them.

He is reading his last book so he is panicking that it will be finished before the end of our stay.

We did  a short video yesterday of him trying to stand up from a low chair but it is probably not a true assessment as he wasn’t at his best and fell shortly afterwards.

Hope you are having a good week-end. Love to all.

    Hello all

Sorry I’ve not been in touch for a couple of days but I have been working day and night at the airport, I have however been watching and reading all the messages so keep them coming.

Watching the latest video of Tery getting up ad down I am wondering how strong the knee muscles are after the knee replacements. I now the doctors have said the knees are fine and I’m sure they are but the muscles have never been excercised pro perly and there must be plenty of scope for improvement there with the right excercise.

Its good to see you still in high spirits and we are looking forward to you coming home next week.

God mum youve never lost the bossy touch, get up, get down, head back, between the lines, straighten your feet. It all brings back the god old days, good luck Terry.

Hopefully I will see you all tomorrow.

    Love you lots.

    Gary

Well done Lynda I’m impressed !- I hope this means that you’ll continue the blog when you get home. You’ll just have to work on giving instructions and filming at the same time, but I’m sure you’ll be able to master that!! Women are experts in multi-tasking- sorry lads!!
Sorry you’re not feeling too good today Terry, I’m sure its only temporary. When you look at just what you’ve been doing in the last few weeks, and what you were doing before you left its understandable that you are going to have a off-day.
You also have to remember that although being a world famous superstar comes naturally it is very demanding! Even superstars have days off and you haven’t had any yet!
I’m sure you’ll feel better for resting.
In fact I think it might do you all good to dedicate this weekend to some well deserved rest!
    Love to you all

Well done Mum – Great that you have taken the plunge, excellent. I can see you now at home in the lakes with one of those directors caps and a sort of monical around your neck, shouting camera, action, cut and thats a rap – and Terry the Chink saying to everyone ” Do you know who I am “.

Well its not long now before yoy go home, Terry I will tell the paparatzi you arrive on a different date – you know how they can be. Try and wear a disguise if you can, that hat, shirt, and sunnies will do nicely they wont recognise you wearing that.

Take care guy’s – keep up the good spirits – and Terry you will feel a lot better in a couple of day’s – promise.

It didn’t take long for you to get to grips with the blog, did it, Linda? Great stuff. Can’t wait to see you (and the blog) when you return home.

I particularly liked the Fred and Ginger routine you were both practising in yesterday’s vid – glad to see you are taking your theatrical commitments seriously.

Sorry you aren’t feeling too great today and that you had a fall, Terry, but you’re entitled to feel tired and ratty now and then – as long as you don’t make a career of it. Ootherwise I’ll have to send you out to Spain with Mr Grumpy and you won’t like that. Although he has sussed out a cafe that does great English breakfasts…. Aha, you’ve heard that before from Charlie, I know.

Keep those jokes coming, Anita – very funny.

Have a good rest and remember we’re all rooting for you.

    Love
    Charlie Penny & Kerry xx

    Hi All

Sorry you are not feeling so good today Terry, I thought that you looked tired yetsterday. You have done more exercise this past month than you have in a couple of years, it is probably just catching up with you.

Good to see you doing as Lynda tells you and getting up & down from the low seat, I was on pins watching you, but you DID it, well done.

I think you have sent your rainy weather in advance of your home coming, as it has been wet & miserable all day- in other words a normal weekend.

Anyway, hope you all have a good weekend & Terry gets to rest alittle bit, but not for too long as his muscles will stiffen.

The last part of this set of funnies, but don’t worry I have lots more others to come.

These are genuine clips from British Council flat tenants complaining to the Council about problems with their flats !!
    14) The toilet is blocked and we cannot bath the children until it is cleared.
    15) Will you please send a man to look at my water, it is a funny colour and not fit to drink.
    16) Our lavatory seat is broken in half and is now in three pieces.
    17) I want to complain about the farmer across the road; every morning at 6am his cock wakes me up and its now getting too much for me.
    18) The man next door has a large erection in the back garden, which is unsightly and dangerous.
    19) Our kitchen floor is damp. We have two children and would like a third so please send someone round to do something about it.
    20) I am a single woman living in a downstairs flat and would you please do something about the noise made by the man on top of me every night.
    21) Please send a man with the right tool to finish the job and satisfy my wife.
    22) I have had the clerk of works down on the floor six times but still have no satisfaction.
    23) This is to let you know that our lavatory seat is broke and we can’t get BBC2.

    love
    Anita & Rodger
